I think no-brainer, yes.

Any time you can get a first round pick for a second round pick, take it. The Saints could suck ass...stranger things have happened.

Supposing the Saints aren't as good as they think they'll be...each draft pick increase (say, going from #20 to #15 or #10 to #5) is such a huge deal and that one first round pick could be worth multiple first round picks with trade downs. That's why I think teams are so reluctant to part with them until they know which position they'll be drafting from.

I really agree with this concept. However, I find that, as many concepts, they only apply in general situations. The Patriots have a need for players. I think they need to take 3-4 players out of today and they need at least two of those players to play significant minutes in 2020. Trading away the 2nd round pick really hurts their chances of getting a player who can start in 2020.

Agree; besides, trading an early 2nd now for merely a late 1st next year doesn't seem like good value at all.

Late first is worst case scenario for Pats though.

Oh my god, the Saints gave Taysom Hill $21m over 2 years. He completed six passes last season!

The saints are setting the market for backup quarterbacks. Hill won't even be their #2 QB.

I get that Taysom Hill is considered an offensive weapon. He can do multiple things to impact the game.

He has never thrown a touchdown in the NFL! And is legitimately being talked about as the successor of Brees. It is crazy to give Taysom Hill $21 million, including $16 million fully guaranteed at signing, plus $1 million more in performance incentives.

Really I can't remember 1 game where he changed the outcome. Pretty far fetched if you ask me.

Assuming they cut at least 4? anyone worth a look?

I took a peek at the names. Only recognizable ones were Jimmy Graham (washed), Adam Shaheen (bust), Cole Kmet (rookie), and our old friend Eric Saubert.

So probably not, although I wouldn't cry if we tried to take on Shaheen as a reclamation project at minimum salary.

Ravens sign D.J. Fluker. Trying to find a replacement for Yanda.

Ravens making some strong moves.
However we seen what happens after they can’t use Bluetooth

Funny how the league dropped that one like a hot potato didn't they.

The difference with and without the bluetooth was like night and day.

Their offense was a force then came to a screeching halt after the headset was removed

However the ref who called Harry out of bounds during the KC game Better of gotten his wife and kids back from the mob.
