I suspect they knew yesterday that whoever they wanted at 23 (Epenesa? Kmet?) would still be there at 37 and so they just picked up a free 3rd round pick. :)

Pats have been linked to Xavier McKinney...

If we're going safety, I'd rather Antoine Winfield Jr, who I think is one of the most underrated and overlooked players in the draft.

5'9 Safety? Is he like Honey Badger?

Safety may be more of a need than you think after trading Harmon. The two returners are both getting older (33).
Not convinced they won’t move a corner there. Williams or Jones. Prefer Winfield over McKinney Delpit.

1 OT, Jones or Cleveland, 1 IOL, Hunt or Hennessy, 1 DL Blacklock or YTG, 1 TE Chase Claypool or Adam Trautman

I just think his tape shows, to me, that he's the best, smartest safety in the draft. Not the most athletic, not the tallest but the best footballer. I'm not concerned about him being a little shorter than the likes of McKinney.

I'm concerned about his ability to stay healthy at his size. I'd rather have McKinney or Delpit.

Why Madubuike? We need run-stuffers, not 3-techs.

Whatever about McKinney, I do not want Delpit.

Curious why. I think he's great. Range, anticipation, speed, versatility -- he's got a lot of upside and playmaking ability. The missed tackles stat doesn't concern me at all (too many mitigating factors).

We need to get faster on offense. I will be disappointed if we take a WR and he isn’t a burner.

Thats my thought as well. Everyone always has us taking slot type guys, and I just don't get it. Thats all we have. We need someone that can take it to the house or that can stretch a defense. I know as the draft goes on, it's hard to find the "perfect" WR, but speed and big play ability should be a requirement.

We're all so pessimistic in here...Think we've seen one too many Ras-I Dowling's on Day2 to take today lightly

Could’ve brought up the Jordan Richards or the Duke Dawson’s of the world to make your point but whatever.
;)

Can Kmet make difficult catches? The couple vids I’ve seen have him wide open with a pass right on the numbers. A couple high catches, a couple low, a couple nice ones in stride, but most looked like catches I could make stoned out of my mind in gym class.

This is unpopular but I would consider RB Jonathan Taylor at #37 if he's still there. I'm still a bit worried about Michel long-term, and the fact that Damien Harris got redshirted the entire year is not a good sign. Jonathan Taylor is a great runner, and unlike Michel, he has home-run speed.

Again, he's not my first choice, but I would think about it if he's still there.

There had better be a corresponding move of shipping Michel off for a pick if that happens.

I'd watch a few more. Yes, he can make difficult catches and shows the ability to get his feet down on the sidelines. His ability to adjust to the ball is excellent for a TE, especially one that's 6'6 260. Biggest reason I like him.

Got a question for you folks.

How do you generally like this years draft class?

The reason I ask, is that I'm not that stoked. There are obviously players that I like, but I can't say I have that many binkies this year - if any.

Did I just not spend enough time on research this year or is my feelings shared by others?
