Report: Patriots sign WR Marqise Lee to 1-year deal

Video below. He looks very good fighting for the ball and is good at boxing out defenders. Very good run after the catch. Not a speedster but gets separation. He's what I hoped NKeal Harry would be but isn't.

Look out 98 vikings

This is a meaningless signing, camp body only assuming he lasts that long. No financial impact on the Pats. His chances of making the team are slim and none.

Don’t see much downside. Cheap with lots of upside and in his prime

Sure, it's an off-brand ravioli. But it just has a little dent. It's only 35 cents! Will the kids know the difference?

:)

Narrator: “the kids could tell the difference.”

When healthy he's pretty good. Just hoping or 8 games out of him IF he makes it past TC

Would anyone be surprised if we went WR high again this weekend?
Too many other needs. Spend the round 1 on either QB or Dline.

It’s a rich WR class so we should def swing on one in round 3 tho.

Pats plans for WR for 2020. Same as 2019. Throw a lot of **** at the wall and see what sticks. Unfortunately, last year nothing did.

Lee played 76% offensive snaps and had 4-41 and caught 2 first down receptions in AFC championship game vs Pat's... didn't play special teams at all ..

Bill got off on something he saw that game

Willing to bet $1M that it was this....

BB needs an asset inside the Steelers organization...when it comes to LB and WR...they seem to have some crazy ability to hit year after year.

Noticed that for years but Pats Homers would disagree with their hit rate.

Alright, does that mean Bill is giving up on the idea of drafting a WR this weekend?

I guess this means that I was right? We're basically going with Edelman, Harry, Sanu, and Lee as our top WRs? Really wish we took a WR like Reagor.

No a homer would ignore the hits a realist would factor in how high and frequent the picks are and how many misses there were.

If you look at WR corps we won SBs with in 01,03,04 (and even 14 16 and 18) and the ones we didn’t win SBs with from 07-10 it isn’t surprising that Belichick is less concerned with the WR position than people who feel it’s critical are.

From 2001 - 2018 the Steelers have drafted 20 WR with 11 being in the first 3 rounds. Pats drafted 14 with 6 in first 3 rounds. Steelers have 6 hits while Pats have 3. About what you would expect based off of capital team spent.

Poor Stidham if that's the case an embarrassment of riches there.
