I love you captain, but we add a draft pick and Sanu and Edleman are healthy again and our receivers don't look so bad. I remember the days where Dropson was getting a lot of time.

Because all that will Never happen here...

Don't worry everyone,Brady can make even the most mediocre Wide Receiver become a superstar overnight ............Oh,Wait

Using what for money?

They have a little breathing room until TC starts by which they must have all their 2020 draftees signed. Until then there's the good old signing bonus.

Does it even impact the top 53?

Would anyone be surprised if we went WR high again this weekend?

Here we go again, lets fill the roster with a bunch of hacks at WR and hope one sticks.

If it's around the veteran minimum they probably just barely squeezed him in.

The thought just hit me here Cousin.
Even the minimum salary is tough for the Pats to take a flyer on Lee. They also have to have about $3mm for the Draftees and money for the two RFA signed (I see about $8mm+ or minus).
Something is in the works.
I might be reading the tea leaves wrong but.........either Thuney is close to an extension, they have a deal on the table for him or someone else is going like a Hightower or Gilmore.

I think Thuney is the Pats best OL hope but is CAP number is ridiculous. Love to keep him but if he brings wampum.....

Does this indicate the Pats are happy with their WR room? Still might use a late pick to get a sleeper WR like speed merchant Quez Watkins from Southern Miss, Oregon State Isaiah Hodgkins, or Tyler Johnson from Minn.

It would be very difficult to envision the Pats NOT making a move to address CAP.

Happy Draft Day.

He’s going to need a new number.

Hope you're right DW Toys...would love to see Thuney back with an extension worked out

During his time in New England Belichick has killed it with highly drafted players who for one reason or another didn't live up to potential somewhere else. I would love to see Lee be the next in that line.

If he's cheap enough for us to sign now, then he's a high upside low risk signing.

Still would like to see a receiver taken in the first 3 rounds.

Sorry, but I stopped reading after "Sanu"...

At worst he is a camp body. The time around camp is the perfect time to bring in a couple low risk reclamation projects.

He had a higher yards/tgt than Sanu last year. So at least there is that :p

You keep saying this but none of this is true. They have still 1-2 months to sign the drafted players and depending on how they use their draft picks I doubt that they will need more than 2m to sign them all since the rule of 51 is still in effect.

Similarly, because of the top 51 situation only players that get a contract with a charge bigger than 1.9m will actually hit the cap. There is no problem at all grabbing players on a minimum contract because they fall below the top 51.

Guy was a super stud at Southern Cal, but to call his pro career a disappointment would be kind.
well he wasn't catching balls from Tom....er never mind.
