@captainstone we get it you hate the patriots, and wish for their demise.

It's easy to spot the problem with what you wrote. See if you can find it. I left a hint.

pats had no leverage. not sure how strong arming your team to get traded to your one and only destination is doing your team a "solid"

the options are a. trade me or B. I screw your cap.

Welcome to the board, Gary.

amen !

As for Flowers he had yet to hit his peak, he was traded to the lions. What did we get in return? We lost a valuable asset for nothing. Unless you can enlighten me. He also showed in Detroit why he is so dam good at his position. Watch the films. Every expert on the NFL including Rodney Harrison, agreed King Bill made huge mistakes
You are an idiot

This is simple logic you're having a problem with.

He could have just gone for reinstatement, which would have required the Patriots to lop off $8 million dollars of payroll or cut Gronk. After all, if the Patriots made the $8 million worth of moves and told Gronk they were keeping him, he could just have retired again. Instead, he played it in such a way that the Patriots at least got some compensation.

Not get more for Gronk. Just get more OF Gronk. I want him playing for us. He's not cuz he doesn't frickin want to play for BB anymore after the way he's been treated. And Brady driven out for frankly the same reason. Driven to madness.

BB has frickin lost his marbles throwing out our best players ever for nothing, all to prove that he can do it without them. BB is going to face up to reality this season.
Wrong. Gronk is a shell of his former self and Brady has noticeably declined.

He wasn't traded he signed in free agency. If you are going to attack entitled local patriots fans, especially those who think you aren't a real fan unless you are born before 1912 and spent 20k or more on season tickets, you better not mess those type of facts up or they will talk in circles with you. That said, you still make no sense.

My man, it's great to want to come to the board all strong and wanting to flex your muscles. But, the problem is you have to know what you're talking about. And you clearly don't.
Belichick didn't trade Flowers to Detroit. Flowers was a free agent. He signed a highly lucrative free-agent contract which in turn has brought us a 3rd round comp pick in this years draft.

I would like to see a QB in N.E. that is mobile liken to the Q.B. for the Ravens and chiefs. Those two show the future for the position and do with style and athleticism
Nah, BB is always eons ahead of the curve. When the league zigs, he zags...he’s just gonna draft a mannequin. His foresight is phenomenal.

Wrong. Gronk is a shell of his former self and Brady has noticeably declined.
Please explain how Brady "has noticeably declined" without mentioning the lack of competent receiving options he had last season. I'll wait.

Note, I'm not saying he hasn't declined somewhat. That's just realistic. But noticeably? I'm not so sure anyone can say that without taking into account what's happened at receiver the past two seasons.

Rob seemed like the most unlikely person to fall in line for so many years but I suppose a confluence of things (e.g. still being under the old CBA with his long "cheap" extension, surrounded by the GOAT QB and coach, unprecedented success, a real love of the game ect.) made it work. Until a certain point.

Brady always seemed to be the ideal fit for BB in terms of mentality. Ruthless, hard working, ego in check with only one objective in mind. Winning.

That's why I am not particularly surprised that Brady moved on in the end. He found another situation that gave him a better chance to win now than with the Pats. His days are more numbered than BBs. One has the time and patience to think mid/long term, the other desperately does not.

I just hope for Rob's sake that he stays healthy this year and his season doesn't end with yet another surgery. I think it has been since 2011 since he actually played in 16 games in one season.
Rob’s career, post football, was a complete and utter failure. I think any action he gets this year will be better than what he was doing in retirement.

All season long players lost by the Pats made headlines on their new teams, Brown in Chicago was hailed and again, King Bill looked weak in the decision to trade him, Fact. Kraft is not trying to win games paying the cheapest to players. Good coaches say, You got pay to get the best, or watch other teams take you out.
I had to look at the responses to make sure you were talking about my favorite player Trey “I almost sacked the QB” Flowers.

Looking at your other posts, I’m sure you’ll get banned quickly.

After the AB affair Rosenhaus probably wanted to make sure this went very smoothly. I put most of the "smoothness" on Rosenhaus. Especially since this transaction required dealing with two teams and getting NFL approval, along with a physical (during NFL restrictions to facilities).

His accuracy took a dip, has less zip. What's the difference between declining somewhat and noticeably declining? There's your answer chump.

Reports that OJ Howard would cost a 2nd round pick. Completely insane.

All I saw was accuracy issues on swing passes. For the most part, all other “accuracy” issues on typical passes looked more like bad route running than Brady. And I did not see any loss of zip on the ball. YMMV.

The only game that I actually was concerned Brady hit the wall was the season finale against Miami. He looked bad there, and if that was his last game that would be one thing. But he bounced back and looked like the usual Brady against the Titans the next week, in my eyes at least.

This is about him proving he is the Best Coach ever to be in the NFL. If he is lucky he will not face Gronk and Brady next season.

Well the ONLY way Bill 'faces' Brady and Gron if we make it to the SB. If so sign me up today. If we lost in the SB it is better than what a lots of Pats fans are fearing right now.

Buffalo owns the division and Miami is coming up they looked good as is end of the year
Since when does Buffalo own the division? Josh Allen will continue to hold that team back.

Tom's stats 1-8 vs 9-WC are frightening. Same receivers.

I think the foot and elbow injuries effected his performance more than he let on but still...

So in the NFL there is this thing called a salary cap. you don't get to keep all your stars without hollowing out the team, You don't seem to grasp that concept. When you win SB's and get to the conference finals your FA look very attractive to teams trying to buy some Patriots mojo. So it is even harder to sign your own players. That is why when some teams get to and win a SB they don't get back for awhile.
