Gronk trade completed

Im very excited to see two of my favorite all time players play again. Hope they go to the SB against the Pats. Ive stated it a billion times but growing up in the 60s 70s 80s and more with Pats teams that were unexceptional, I still cannot believe we got this 20 year run of excellence. So, now that it is over, or at least over with Brady and Gronk as our two studs, Im hgappy to watch them play next year, and hope they both do really well, except for the time(s) they play the pats.

Further reinforcement of that fact that BB is an obnoxious DBag who players cannot stand to play for any longer. 6-11 this season. This mofo is due his comeuppance!
He built this team brick by brick and is the best coach in NFL History he’s a a hard Ass to get the most out of his guys.
I don’t understand people turning on BB.

Looking back I suppose it makes sense that Gronk didn't want to play here last season. Collectively the Patriots had the worst group of receivers in the NFL and Gronk would have had to have done some heavy lifting.

Now Tampa Bay is completely stacked on the offensive end and he isn't going to be asked to do a whole lot.
We were Gronk away to probably be in Miami...

I do want to say there is a lot of trash talk because Brady has left town but if Brady stayed and Gronk decided to come back here that instead of some in here saying Gronk is on decline you would be so excited about his return and buying your Super Bowl tickets in september - Gronk is on decline because he is going to Tampa - come on now, some of you gotta admit that is behind your thoughts
There was plenty of talk about how Gronk was on the decline in 2018 when he was still here. If he un-retires to play for the Patriots again would people be ecstatic because on-decline Gronk is still miles better than the current TE group? Of course people would. Still doesn't change the fact that Gronk was on the decline and is now a 31-year old TE that's been banged up a lot throughout his career.

I don't like it that Mike Reiss has the Tampa pick listed AFTER the Pats 125th overall. Could be nothing, could be 20 picks later than hoping.

2018 Rob Gronkowski trade: Lions receive Gronkowski and a second-round pick (No. 43.) Patriots receive a first-round pick (No. 20) and a second-round pic (No. 51) 2020 Gronkowski trade: Buccaneers receive Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick. Patriots receive a fourth-round pick.

I am sure he does and because I think we haven’t a chance of achieving much this season, I wouldn’t be that upset if we let him for the right price (which has to be more than Gronk cost I would think).

I'd want at least a 2nd or 3rd for Jules...

This bad blood seemed to happen right in the wake of the Super Bowl loss against the Eagles. Not saying that’s what caused it one way or another. Just that it’s a very big coincidence.
Yeah. I agree. That SB is what started the irreparable rift between Brady and Gonk toward BB.

Still need a coach who can gameplan and lead men.

Arians isn't historically great, but he's far from a bad coach. This isn't like Brady going to play for an absolute stiff like Adam Gase or something.

Hero worship for players.

No. Brady built it. BB rode the GOAT to legend status. You're about to find out.

The only thing I'm upset about is I don't trust Bill to get any value out of a 4th round pick. I was pretty much rooting for a player because I have no faith in Bill as a GM. Thats rough lol
Yeah, that GM who put together rosters that have gone to 4 out of the last 6 Super Bowls sure does suck. The last few draft years haven't been 2010/2012 top-notch quality, but specific to your point on the 4th round pick, they've still netted James White, Trey Flowers, Shaq Mason, Bryan Stork, Malcolm Mitchell and Deatrick Wise all in the past 5 years from the 4th round alone.

So do we send that pick back for OJ Howard then?

Ugh just a fourth ???

I agree. But Arians is pretty good. Two time COY with two different teams. Tampa was rocking pretty good last year in his first year save for Winston being a TO machine.

It's all about perspective. Gronk IS on the decline. That is undeniable.

But, yes, we all wouldve been happy if we returned. A declining Gronk is still 10x better than the garbage we had at TE last year. And, it would've been nice to have a year of Gronk while a rookie tight end developed behind him for a year.

We looked just as good with Cassel Jimmy G and Jacoby didn’t look terrible.
It’s BB of course Brady is a great QB but Brady wouldn’t be Brady without BB
