Gronk was retired and only would come back to play for the Bucs.
It kind of pisses me off that he wouldn't come back last year or come back to play for our younger team but he will come back to play for another team

I’ve got 2 Bucs season tix

A decade of Bill
Or
Aging 2 yd pass specialist + brittle Curly Q

Where does a decade of Bill come from?

He's 68. He'll probably coach another 7 years at absolute max and likely not even that. I'd set the over/under at five years.

Brady is now talking about playing well past three years.

2-yard pass specialist? Are you Max Kellerman?

Not awful for a guy who was never playing here again anyway. Would have liked to see Howard included but oh well

They said gronk would never come back. Thatd what the radio heads keep saying.

I'm sure the year off did him wonders but I dont think anyone can deny he just sidnt wanna do another year with bill.

In other words, gronk was not going to come out of retirement to play this year for the patriots even if brady was here.

So while I'm sour on that selfishness I do appreciate the 4th round pick for a guy who was never gonna play for his again

It's not selfishness.

Well, it seems people are in two camps.............

1.) One camp says "screw 'em"....you want to leave? I hope you suck

2.) The other camp hopes to see two Patriot legends have continued success even beyond the Pats.

I'm in camp 2, but my wife and daughter are in camp 1, so it's crazy even in my own household.
I'm also in camp 2. It's these guys sacrificing their bodies to play. And they've already given us so many great times as fans of the Patriots.

No one knows if the NFL will even play this year so it's a good deal if rebuilding for 2021 is the goal.
They'll probably play but a month or two delay could be possible. September is quite a while away

Can use the fourth for douple dip te and get some money for our cap space
I think it was 9 Million right ? I might be wrong but this would be nice
I mean he wouldn’t play for us anymore anyway

I am with your wife and daughter in this moment

He'd never come back to NE. I guess he really does hate Bill.

They dont get jules.

Not without trading us Howard and a 6th.

Is it 117 or 139?

Tampa can still release Howard, but of course we'd have to compete with other teams for him

A 4th isn’t a bad return. We got a fourth for nothing, I’ll take it.

Fleecing. Pats should have gotten zip.

I'm in camp 2 until it influences the Pats. They gave us so much. I will always love Malcom Butler too.

Kinda sucks that Gronk will be playing elsewhere but it is what it is, converting a 7th into a 4th for the rights to a guy who would otherwise not have played for you is a win.

Wonder if it's pick 117 or 139. Hope it's 117. Pats will have a lot of picks between 87 and 125 (5). Probably a good place to have a plethora of picks considering they have needs at WR and it's a deep draft at that position.

It's not selfishness.

If the bucs are out there raising a banner you can take the players side if you like but I'm gonna look at it as a missed opportunity for number 7.

Gronk did what was best for him and I dont fault him for it.

But its crazy to see bill lose two goats for a 4th round pick and a likely 3rd round comp pick.

Firmly in camp #2

That blows! No TE in return. Sucks
