LOOK: Patriots Unveil New Uniform

There is an NFL rule currently that only allows a team to use one helmet. I’m hearing that will be gone in 2021 so Pat Patriot could make a return then.
Yes but they should have allready changed this year at least the colour of the helmet from silver to white

I love the "new" Home jersey; I never realized how the Blue Color Rush jersey really played off of the old Throwback jersey in red. With that said, they absolutely botched the new Away jersey; keep the overall style, but it should have red numbers w/ old shoulder stripes.

And white helmet would have been also better
Why silver now ?

I don't disagree, but the away jersey, on it's own, looks like a complete eye-sore and I'm convinced its because the numbers are blue, as opposed to red, like they used to be. It just really badly conflicts with the stripe.

Jersey designs have to get approved years in advance. Unless you honestly think the Patriots knew precisely that Brady would be leaving this exact year.

I do not think so...
I do not think there is any "task force"...
Probably when you relocate a franchise is different...

PS i love the new Chargers jerseys a lot by the way...both home and road...

The blue on blue has grown on me. Not sure why. I thought it looked bad the first color rush game I saw but now I like it a lot.
All I can see is a footie pajama, I can’t shake it.

Yeah -- the new Chargers road whites are simply awesome.

That last paragraph is an impossible scenario because the uniforms were only 2 seasons old when the rules prohibit changing the primary jerseys for 5 years after changing them once. Also, I don't think everyone knew it would be a dynasty after just the one ring earned by an overachieving roster and 6th round pick QB. Maybe it became clear during or after 2003 but not immediately after the first Super Bowl.
I totally disagree.

Tom Brady, in his first stretch starting in the league, made clutch play after clutch play to give the team a chance to win. All the way to the biggest - and most pressure packed - stage on Earth.

This is not Bledsoe or Eason. Nor is this Hostetler or Rypien.

Beyond his play on the field, Brady displayed an awareness and demeanor which was humble yet determined. I saw tremendous potential for sustained winning and competitiveness in 2002. Contrasting with the Ravens and Rams, who won once and anointed themselves (encouraged by the media) super teams.

This two decade stretch is amazing, but we still could have won more than we did. I am impressed with the longevity, but not surprised with the victories.

Historically, teams that make it to the Super Bowl and win, return there. After accomplishing it once, there is a perspective and entitlement which goes along with that determination.

Of course, getting Rodney Harrison and Corey Dillon helps A LOT!!!:)

As far as the uni's, Kraft loves the flying elvis and blue jerseys. Obviously. End of story.

Tampa gets Brady and Gronkowski; we get new uniforms. Thanks Handy Bob!

Meh. Could've been worse but...

Yep. That is how I thought it was going to look. Away numbers should be in red and the stripes matching the retro jersey. Their design team f-up these jerseys.

Chargers design team hit a home run.

Their opportunity was when Brady was there. That would’ve been the perfect time to reintroduce them and turn them into an iconic uniform.
It will always be an iconic uniform, the Patriots look in the modern [post merger] era of professional football.

A young, unheralded quarterback drafted in the late rounds led a disrespected Patriots team which had lost eleven games in his rookie year to eleven wins in his second season, qualifying for the post season and a divisional round game against the Oakland Raiders. He put New England on the football map and established the Patriots as perennial contenders for the world championship, playing well over a decade longer. Here is a picture of him:

The flying elvis and blue jerseys will always be an ugly, embarrassing insult to the franchise, and all present, former and future players, coaches, staff, family, friends and fans of New England.
