2nd round pick.
My bad. Average longevity of an NFL 2nd round pick who makes the initial squad is 4 years. He's still around for his sixth. I agree it was an unfortunate pick, but hardly top ten worst worthy.
Is this sarcasm? Because you're camp BB over camp Brady.
Good. I'm glad we got that cleared up.You've convinced me:
Belichick's superbowl record with the GOAT is only 6-14! That's even worse than 5-11! WOAT!
- Brady is the GOAT and always has been the GOAT
- QB is the most important position in team sports
- So the Pats should have won all 20 superbowls
- Winning only 6 means Belichick is the WOAT
Jordan Richards made Michael Jordan want to change his last name...but do you think that guy is worse than Terrence Wheatley, Tavon Wilson, or Glass-I Dowling?
McDaniels' kid brother coaches Maroney in college so we waste a first round pick on him. Follow that up with McDaniels personally working out Chad Jackson at WR and we waste another high pick. Deja vu with SonyMichel and NKeal Harry.
.
This is definitely one of mine as well more because of how we missed, not who we missed on. We’ve picked worse players than Cunningham. We all admit that the draft is a crap shoot. So the only logical choice for the worst draft pick evah (from BB) has to be Jermaine Cunningham, not only was he a complete bust, but his teamate, who played the same position, and was picked one pick after him, was Carlos Dunlap.
BB could have had a monster draft as he has already landed McCourty and Gronkowski, imagine of instead of Cunningham, he took his college teamate Carlos Dunlap at pick #53?
If you really want to get sick to your stomach compare thier stats:

Carlos Dunlap Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com
Cunningham was out of the league after three years, Dunlap is still a Pro Bowl player. There is simply no excuse for this miss. Nobody thought that Cunningham was better than Dunlap! They were both DE, playing for Florida, so whoever looked at that tape and made the decision that Cunningham was a better choice than Dunlap should have been fed to dire wolves!
Ken Sims is seared in my memory because that was the draft after the season I became a Pats fan.
It was a terrible season, but, wait, the Patriots get to choose whomever they want from College! And there's this guy from USC who has won the Heisman trophy and looked amazing to me. We could get him! People explained to me, no, it's not that simple. The Heisman winner isn't necessarily the best player, you shouldn't just look at running backs but at the players around them, and so on. So I was thrilled with the Sims pick. Marcus Allen, meanwhile, is in the Hall of Fame.
In the BB era, it's close between Jermaine Cunningham and Ron Brace. They annoy me because they're both examples of BB getting too cute. Both played alongside players who were getting more attention (Dunlap, Ngata) and so, clearly, his theory was, they were going under the radar. But the truth is that neither were that good. Ngata was long gone when the Pats picked but Dunlap was still there, which really hurts. So Cunningham.
He was actually pretty good when he played. 101 tackles, 3.5 sacks and an INT that he took to the house in his first season. He had a career ending neck injury that forced him to retire. He was an athletic freak.
If you want to unfairly put him in that category, than Robert Edwards belongs there too.
