Ceasars: "Patriots roster outside of cornerback 'one of the worst in the NFL'"

Needs legs through. In the Miami he looked like his legs were letting him down.
He's had a very minimal drop off with his legs. His WR's were absolute trash. That's what was letting him down. They graded out as the worst group in the league to gain seperation from defenders.

@Ice_Ice_Brady can you provide us with that gif of Sanu 8.1 did in week 17 having a pass hit him right in the face that could've resulted in a 1st down?

Have fun with that, the schedule is brutal

We don't know anything about this year's opponents except their names. There are still so many transactions to be made and injuries to happen before the first kickoff happens.

What looks like a brutal schedule can easily turn into a mediocre one pretty quickly.

Sure, lot of the strong teams could dump top players and be weaker. I guess that's something to hope for.

Seriously, the fact is, as of now, we have a tougher schedule than average, by far. That could change, but it does seem realistic to look at the situation as of now.

For example, do we have a tougher schedule than BUF? Should we expect PIT and TEN to all of a sudden be weaker than BAL and HOU?

An ACL here, an achilles injury there. Add some rookies working out, while someone else's players get arrested and you have a typical start to a new season where supposed strong teams fall apart while others play unexpectedly well.

I dont get your sarcasm.

It would be interesting to see if anyone on this thread was posting April 2001.

I’m taking the over.

I don’t think the defense will take much of a step back compared to last year. I’d bet that Bill will find high quality replacements for Van Noy, Collins, Shelton and Harmon.

On offense I think people underestimate how snake bit the o line was by injury last year. I would bet that this year the line will be much improved which will help the run game and by extension the play action pass game. Sanu played through an injury So I am hopeful this year he will provide value closer to what the Pats traded for him. Let’s not write off potential improvements by Harry either.

I'm not convinced that Wynn is the answer either. And Cannon is clearly on his last legs. The Patriots OL needs an injection of talent. The WRs need talent. The TEs need talent. The QB needs talent.

The RBs are mediocre outside of White who is the ideal 3rd down RB but will never be the main workhorse type. Sony Michel underachieved and showed that he can't get more than 3 ypc without a really good FB in front of him.
