Deguara with one of our top-100 picks is too rich for my blood...
I can understand that. After looking around everyone's rankings I'm pretty alone where I stand. Haven't seen Waldman's yet which I usually do by now. He's always out there. Probably one of 5-6 guys I actually like & seek out.

Just dropped his RSP 20 minutes ago. Check Twitter.

Hurts was passing against Big 12 defenses.
I understand where this comes from. Competition matters to an extent.

At the end of the day I'm scouting the player. Again it matters but I always block out the competition at some point. Especially for small school players.

Believe it or not but there's not a whole of defense played in college. Basic stuff almost anywhere you look compared to the NFL so again it's not that important imo.

To each their own, not really sure how others do it.

Just got it.

I only really pay attention to a few guys that do this and he's one. We agree, disagree but I don't even care about that tbh.

He's smart, brings a unique look at this stuff & seems like a good dude.

Tua
JB
Fromm
Eason
Herbert
Gordon
Love
Hurts
McDonald
Stanley
Bryant
Huntley

Lance is another one I really like.

I mentioned this a few times but putting out rankings/grades can be lonely. Every single year mine are pretty different. This year no exception. So its nice to hear you're on the same page as the NFL. Looks like I'm on the same page with Terrell, Burgess, Reagor, Cleveland, Mims, A.J E & the rest.

Can't wait for the craziness to start in a few days.

NFL Draft & The Last Dance this week!

It doesn't matter either way. I stopped getting worked up about this stuff recently. I just don't care. Same with players smoking weed or w/e. I don't care. Barely registers. I care more about students turning in Love a lot more than Love or Becton smoking bud. NFL has made it clear they don't care, so neither do I.

Great job.

The Patriots probably leaked this hoping he'd fall lol

Now that the Brady situation has been resolved the Patriots have become far more interesting to me than they have been in years. I’m not saying I didn’t love the winning but you could write them in for 12-14 wins a year, and a final four appearance pretty much every season. Now everything is up in the air, and watching how Belichick goes about building another championship team should be fascinating.

I can only imagine the crazy **** that goes on during the months, weeks leading up to it. All bs tossed out.

I don't see the Patriots drafting Deguara after signing literally the same guy (he's even Italian!) in Danny Vitale.
Not sure if I agree, Danny was the Edelman of TEs in college (meaning he’s small but was good), whereas Deguara is 6’3” or 6’4” (Vitale is 6’0”). I will say this though, watching Vitale’s tape, I hope McDaniels uses Vitale like they did in college. Not your typical blocking FB, more like a mini pass catching TE.

Can we please have pass catching FB!!!

Forget about the position title. If I was a coach I'd have a hybrid TE/FB at the top of my wishlist.
Short yardage, blocking, pick up yards on wheels, leak routes that give you a easy release out the backfield.

I wouldn't go crazy and over-draft or over-pay. Just make it a point to find/develop one.

I think Deguara, Charlie T & a few others might have that?? Undersized guys that are used to getting dirty but can catch and run decent routes.

I knew something had to be wrong with Tuas reported score.

.

You truly dream Belichick's dreams. He is the one coach in the NFL who is always looking for a FB who can both block and is a top receiver. AND, he is always looking for an Hback. This role is just one difficult to find in top college programs.

Isn’t Dan Vitale supposed to be that guy? He’s supposedly versatile as heck.

I fall in love with Randy watching him at Marshall. Play against Army might be my fav college football play ever.
