Hope you have many more years to enjoy with your sister. I am happy she is doing well. You and your family take care and have a Happy Easter.

My sister has Cystic Fibrosis- she got the virus, in the hospital for 16 days, but home now!! It was really scary for a while- it’s pretty miraculous she made it. On oxygen at home, (we are used to that, she’s had to be on oxygen on & off over the years)- her immune system somehow overcame it.

Amazing!!!!! Good for her!!!

That is amazing and surprising. This virus is so unpredictable.
Curious, is she on the Vertex drug?

My cousin just died of the virus Tuesday. He was like a big brother to me and I have been up and down all week because of this. Just can't seem to work things out fully. I don't know even in this I am rambling. Sorry.

I am so sorry, Sturm... No words, other than, sorry for your loss...

and (I know this is trite) so glad he got you into the Patriots and Red Sox, and that all of us grew to our "mature years" in the era of sports redemption not the sports wilderness.

Congrats Arial... Now that we're supposed to be "6 feet apart," I keep thinking of the movie "5 feet apart" and therefore CF... Amazing that she made it, good for her!

Stay strong & well, the both of you!

!

Thank you for your thoughts. I wish you the best.

Yes, I am remembering all the good times. It is what he would want and I will continue to follow both sets of teams though I will keep one of them undercover here.
So sorry to hear about this my prayer and thoughts are with you and everyone struck by this evil.

Still taking public transport to DC, PatsfaninVa? That would not be optimal.

Unfortunately, the days of reckoning are upon us.

Hope you all stay strong. Crazy times. Stay safe and possitive thoughts to your family

Too much death in general. We all thought we were just watching out for the virus, as dangerous as that is. Then I get a call yesterday that a close family friend has died - not by the virus, but being crushed by a falling tree he had cut down for firewood on his property. He leaves behind a wife, a farm and 4 small children.

The virus is dangerous but the stress it is putting us all under trying to make ends meet in these circumstances is also proving fatal.

So sorry about your friend. What a horrible tragedy for everyone involved.

There will be many deaths attached to this that are not directly caused by the virus itself. Cancer patients who can’t get their needed treatment, car accident victims who had to wait too long for an ambulance tied up with a full arrest from the virus, the old person who starves to death because no one thinks to bring him groceries, the homeless person who freezes to death because all the shelters have closed, the mentally ill woman whose anxiety takes over and who harms herself and her family, the husband who is out of work, frightened and drunk who beats the heck out of his wife in a fit of rage. And on and on and on. You don’t have to have Covid 19 to be a victim of Covid 19.

Saw some statistics that said suicide and domestic violence rates were way up. Sad times.

Sorry for your loss, unfortunately a lot of people won't take this serious until it hits close to home. Its a weird virus in a lot of ways where you can have it with no symptoms or have it and die. It also seems to flare up where people will feel fine one day and cant get out of bed the next. Something we've never really dealt with.

I have my son back this week and his stupid ass mom had 2 easters with like 15 family members.
So now my Son is quarantined in his bedroom while I have him.
My heart and soul break for this because he doesn’t understand or take it seriously.
Now I have to keep him away from my wife my other 2 sons and worst of all me.
I love him soo much and I hate treating him like a outcast and I pray he doesn’t get sick nor any of us nor any of you.

God bless everyone

Long time no see, State. I'm now teleworking every day... I had been teleworking 4 days a week, in part because the Mrs.' health really made it important to be here (but certainly not to take work time tending to her - in fact we even had some aides in.)

Tell me you're working from home.

You're not good for my wannabe raging alcoholism but I love you anyway.

My neighbors two houses down from me had a big Easter party with people rolling in all day long. Must’ve been over 20 people. Some people don’t care.
