Good news indeed.
Now please axe entire mnf crew.
ESPN wanted Drew Brees for MNF but look like when he retires hes going to NBC

That crew is the worst of any crew on any network in NFL history.
Booger's mama gave him the appropriate name.

I don’t mine Eye-in’ Eagle. But Fouts stunk. Imagine the disparity between Romo and he.
I do. His name is Ian. Just because your last name is "Eagle" doesn't mean you should be able to pronounce it differently. Pronounce it the boring way the rest of us "Ians" pronounce it.

One of the blurbs points out Fouts is 69 years old. Oy, even geezers like me hardly remember when he was on the field, never mind a half dozen generations since. I never found anything he said on the broadcast to be insightful. It's time for him to move on to another phase of life, give a younger person a seat behind the microphone.

Ah man, gonna be a real bummer to miss his anti-patriots rhetoric once or twice a month. Hey fouts, F*** YOU!

Ian Eagle is a great play by play guy and now he'll finally get a decent partner. Rejoice!

Unfortunately it seems that Greg is on the back nine of his career. He’s older than you would think. Was once the #1 at CBS but now is #4 I believe.

Greg’s my favorite, but I doubt they re-promote him.

I think he was last season # 3

Glad he is gone. Completely unrelated, I hate watching games on Fox. They have far too many closeups presnap and you never get to see the whole formations. Its always close up of QB, closeup of receiver, closeup of something else then snap.

Not really a fan of his work going back to his days on WFAN in the early 90s. In my opinion he comes across as being stiff, even back in those early days.

One reason to dislike him is he brings back memories of:
Seven seconds left. Tannehill will throw it... and this will end it after the shovel. Or will it? Miami running around. Circling. Oh look out! GRONKOWSKI! DIDN'T HAVE THE ANGLE! TOUCHDOWN! OH HO KENYAN DRAKE! A MIRACLE! Miraculous in Miami! Stills... to Parker... to Drake! A lateral... heard around the world!

I think he was referring to his brother Greg. Bryant does "Real Sports" on HBO
No he was referring to his brother Bryant being a bad announcer. He did TNF games in the mid late 2000’s for a while.

I'm a Nets fan and he's been the voice of the Nets for over a decade so I'm biased, but I think he's a great play-by-play guy. Maybe he's better as a basketball guy than football though. (Him and Mike Fratello in the dark days of like 2009-2011 for the Nets was one of the all-time great announcing duos, just like drawing ****s on the screen and making fun of fans level of ****ing around.)

Miracle in Miami shouldn't bother anyone given we won the Super Bowl in the end lol, in retrospect it's wildly entertaining and hilarious considering how the season ended. Like Brady throwing the butt INT in Miami in 2004.

CBS is by far my fav for nfl games. I'm in the minority because I actually found Fouts funny despite his hate for us. As long as they don't hire someone as bland as troy&buck or nonsense like Fauria they'll do alright and maybe find another Romo.

I think Fouts is an incompetent drunk but I too always found him entertaining.

I think that Fouts was my favourite player when I first started watching the NFL, so his incompetence and bias as an announcer has been a bit more annoying. It's always difficult because the networks want someone who is (a) competent, and (b) was a celebrity as a player, but I'll take (a) over (b) any time. Matt Chatham would be fine, for instance.

Such great news in these dark times. Thank you!
