Big mistake by Tom for being classy and telling the fans he appreciates them.

BB is a big boy. He sent Tom packing after Tom took discounts for 20 years and was always a model citizen.

Pathetic. I am referring to the writer of the article. I blame one person for Brady not being here. Bill Belicheck.
He is the GM its his fault.He didn't want him here. I don't care what lie he tells. That's the truth.
Brady its ok, you don't have to say goodbye anymore. At least one patriot fan doesn't hate you for leaving. the rest of them do. Ungreatful, hateful SOBs. They said goodbye the minute the season ended.

I think he's going overboard with the goodbyes because he wants to make absolutely sure he doesn't come off as unsentimental to the fans.

Plus he's cooped up in his house like the rest of us and has too much time on his hands.

IF Brady is not successful in Tampa, for the first time in his career he will be subject to criticism from a fan base that doesn't look at him as the savior. He is taking a big risk. I was watching Tampa's first game yesterday (NFL RedZone is replaying each week, week 2 games will be on today), and that line was not good. Sure they should have won that game minus Jamesis' pair of pick sixes, but a lot of Jamesis' completions were him sticking in the pocket. Wait til Brady bails out and throws the ball away on third and five because someone is coming near him, and see how the Buc fans react.

Think about all the wasted 2nd and third round picks that BB used on QBs over the past 20 years, and who he could have picked to help Brady instead of being worried about replacing him. This whole thing, should have been avoided, mistakes made by both sides, but unless Brady wins a Superbowl in Tampa, this move will be considered a failure.

Now if BB somehow wins a Superbowl in the next few years without Brady, then Brady is going to become Bill Parcells.

This may prove to be an unpopular opinion and despite my unabashed admiration for Brady and what he gave us Patriots fans, given the severity of what's going on around the world, I wish Brady would piss off and focus on his new team, Tampa Bay.

When Brady threw that pick 6 to Logan Ryan I said he’s done in Foxboro and I was right.
That was Tom making a Bad decision with the football and forgive me for this looked like he gave up on the the season weeks before and was going thru the motions.
He wasn’t the same guy once we cut AB.
It sounds crazy but Tom put up with so much over the years but cutting AB Did it for him.
Didn’t build up or encourage Harry and Meyers instead he acted like the kid that was stuck playing with kids because His parents made him and griped and moaned about it.
The Tom we knew and loved would of made sure to build them up thru sound bites they could hear put blame on his shoulders and talk about How Bright a future they have and how she offense is just scratching the surface.
He didn’t do that in my opinion Brady left Foxboro as soon as AB was cut and what we saw was the greatest of all time going thru the motions without emotions fire or want to.
The Tom that sulked on the side lines isn’t Tom Effing Brady we saw time to retire to Tampa Tom.
Whoever the next QB is won’t be a computer like Tom won’t have near the winning pedigree but as long as he doesn’t mentally check out on his team he will have my full support and make others around him better something which used to make Tom Terrific.

somehow, someway...hard knocks needs to get to Tampa while TB12 is there.

A player is only good or worthy of respect while he is in a Patriots uniform.

I'm agnostic on the whole thing. He's a Buc now, and I'm not super concerned with what he does. I've moved on for now.

But when it comes time for him to get the Red jacket, I'll be right there with the most thankful fans. He was the most public face of our franchise (right along with BB), and probably will be in a lot of ways for decades to come.

I agree with a sentiment above; he's probably bored in quarantine like most of America. I think, even for those with hard feelings, we can go easy on him.

I agree but it puzzles me why anyone has hard feelings at all.

Just because he left? Because he was tired with Belichick after 20 years? I don’t see what crime he committed to receive any vitriol from any Patriots fan anywhere...ever. Some people act like he backstabbed us.

If you are such a big Pats fan and dislike the coach so much for pushing Brady away, I would think that you would have learned how to spell evil Bill Belichick's name by now.
