Players you hold a grudge against

Ray Lewis, not only for killing a guy, but for his stupid dancing as a player, then his holier than thou Reverend BS after becoming an analyst. I hate him.
Jack Tatum, for his hit on Stingley.
Shannon Sharpe, that horse faced POS with his mocking of the Patriots.
Irving Fryar, another head-case that we should have never drafted.
Tony Eason, a wuss that was drafted ahead of real QBs. The opposite of Grogan, who was fearless.
Ben Dreith, if I knew where he’s buried, I would come and piss on his grave.
Jordan Richards, for being the worst 2nd round pick of all time.
Shula, for his crap about the unbeaten season. The best part of the snowplow game was that it drove Shula nuts.
Tuna, for making a deal with the Jets when he should have been focused on the Super Bowl game.

I forgot about Shannon Sharp. Great addition.

I would also add Warren Sap, for his dirty play and for mocking Russ Hochstein (who got the last laugh).

Shula would have continued with his asterisk bs but some of his players from 72 reminded him that they were also fined and lost a 1st rounder before they went undefeated.

And oh yeah, Ben Dreith is still going at 95. He's living proof that the good die young axiom is true. He should be going strong to about 150.

Teams are multi billion dollar corporations. The business can be very harsh to the players while the games brutally breaks down their body. If people hold are grudge towards or are "disappointed in" a player for leaving, they haven't put in significant effort into trying to understand the player's perspective.

Not too big of a list.

AB
Ulf Samuelson
John McNamara
Victor Kiam
Bob Stanley

Love/Hate: Jeremy Jacobs,Red Sox ownership, Billy Sullivan, Manny Ramirez, Tuuka Rask, Glen Wesley, Dustin Pedroia, Malcolm Butler, Gost, Ray Allen
Ray Allen leaving hurt, I found out about Manny leaving when I was with some friends visiting from Germany at a shopping mall. I remember being sad and confused for a second hearing about him tossing an old guy onto the floor and being bounced. I didnt get the time to register it in real time but that one hurt too.

I really hadnt followed Sox like I used to. What happened with Pedroia?

My beefs with those players vary and it's not because they left.

Allen didn't handle his exit well nor the time leading up to it. There was a reason Rajon froze him out. He butted heads with everyone that season.

Manny- appreciate his production but he was compete jerk. His behavior pertaining to Jack McCormick was inexcusable.

Pedroia has changed. He was a total and complete punk during that whole Orioles situation.

Asante Samuel is number one on my list as well. Was a holdout during preseason, was tagged, and then signed a one year contract with conditions that essentially allowed him to leave at the end of the year. I sometimes wonder if he didn't drop that Super Bowl interception on purpose. His Wikipedia entry does not mention the drop. I think someone should edit the entry and say "Cost Patriots the Super Bowl and a perfect season."
The Vinitraitor.

I'm not Asante's mom or anything but it's not like the ball hit him off the face or chest. He jumped as high as he could with full extension and his fingertips scrapped the bottom of the ball. Plus I'm not even sure if he could've got both feet inbounds anyway. I honestly don't blame him at all for not pulling this in. Everyone seriously needs to watch this again.

The Giants just had our number that day and we need to get over it and stop trying to blame Asante for this. If we were honestly so much better than the Giants it shouldn't have come down to this play or the dumbfounded luck of the helmet catch.

Don Shula for sure... he's been so disrespectful towards Belichick and the Patriots, its really bizarre... he's so petty and jealous that he can't even acknowledge or praise a fellow hall of fame coach

Its a shame we couldn't tear his heart out with that undefeated season, thats like the last thing he has left to hold onto.. would have been amazing to snatch it away from him, miserable prick

Oh please. Samuel didn’t “drop” anything. Most WRs wouldn’t have caught that ball, let alone a defensive back.
Yep, I don't really blame Samuel either...Rodney also had a "drop" on that drive, right before the 2:00 warning, and those azz-holes never went to a replay...Stomper Meriweather also had a "drop", after the Tyree catch, when a pass went over his shoulders and right through his arms...Eric Weddle maybe makes that INT...

I never got the Viantieri hate that much. Kickers have a very limited ability to get a big paycheck compared to to other positions and he took his shot.

Welker always came across as a douchebag to me. I don't hang all the losses from 2007-2012 around his neck like some people, but he always seemed like a smug little jackass just in general.

Here's a deep cut: Brandon Meriweather was a cheap-shot artist with the IQ of a stump. I was glad when he left the team.

I forgot about Bang Clock

Point made about the drop. However, friends of mine have said that Asante gave up on the following play, the helmet catch, thinking that Manning was down. If you look at the video, he is nowhere near Tyree or any other Giant receiver.

I have not really held a grudge against former players, especially if they've had high levels of success here. My grudge holding tends to be guys that were either under achievers or, to a lesser extent, mercenaries when they were here. Tyler Seguin falls in the former category, Revis in the latter. I don't really hold a grudge against Revis, he did what he was paid to do, and then he did what he always does, which is follow the money.

I will always be an Adam Vinatieri fan..he gave me awesome sport moments...

It was not an easy play, but watching it again it hit his fingertips and it was a catchable ball. Yes it would have been a good play, but not incredible. Perhaps my "grudge" is a bit irrational...but we are talking about one play which would have resulted in that team being considered as the greatest team of all time ....and no one could argue.

You are correct though, there were so many other chances in that game.

Still not over it

The guy who rolled on Brady's ankle during the 2007 AFCCG.

The Giants O-Line holding the Pats D line during the "helmet catch".

Mike Carrey for not calling in the grasp or holding.

Bernard Pollard.

The replacement ref that called the field goal good in Baltimore 2012 which clearly wasn't good.

Forgot one: Browns safety TJ Ward for kneecapping Gronk in late 2013.

Got away with a blatant cheap shot and then cried about not being allowed to headhunt anymore. POS.

only one I can think of at the top of my head is Bernard Pollard
