Players you hold a grudge against

...And speaking of killing, there's this Ray Lewis dude...

If I could kill Bernard Pollard and was guaranteed to get away with it, I would...that's how much I hate him AND the teams for whom he played...
Note to self : do NOT cross Capt Stone...

In hindsight I liked Welker playing with Manning.

Manning constantly put Welker in peril with ill-advised throws over the middle which showed Brady was the better QB.

Austin Collie and Brandon Stokely agree.

Gary Guyton-like gtfo already. I wish we could sign him so we can cut him again.

Erica Mangini- not only spygate, we couldn't even keep guys on the practice squad with this dude in the league.

Pierre Woods- how did you not hold on to the fumble in the sb. C'mon.

I know this is a Pats related thread but others have mentioned some not NEP things, so here's mine, and I'm surprised it hasn't already been mentioned; Mookie Betts. I know they were on the hook for some serious money, but that should've never happened. And on the same Red Sox note, a grudge of a different kind goes to Carl Crawford. That puke got the best deal of the time from a team he had absolutely no desire to play for! Ughhh....

Vinitraitor felt like a betrayal at the time, but we've both found happiness with others, so that's fine. As for the rest, it's hard to find a Pats player to hold a grudge against. They did what they did and it's a tough gig playing for Belichick.

Except ...

STEVE DEOSSIE

That hypocritical, disloyal exploiter of his New England career who made money out of them and then spat on the team and its fans behind their backs! If captain stone had him in a cellar, I might take my time before calling the cops.

Here is one that is the Opposite of holding a grudge against... I was f'n happy he left...

Monty Beisel .... Oh how i hated him

Patriots player- Used to be Maroney, but Newhouse took that spot!

NFL Player- Bernard F*CKING Pollard!

In Massachusetts you might get away with it. Not because of the connection with the Patriots and Brady, but because your brilliant defense attorney would portray you as the victim.

Mine would be Bernard Pollard. The hit on Brady mere minutes into 2008 likely robbed us of another incredible revenge run and his hit on Gronk robbed us from a potential championship because Gronk had been unstoppable that season and likely would have had a terrific Super Bowl.

Needless to say - "grudge" is probably a good word for how I feel about him ;)

I forgot about the Tuna. I hate that fat lying POS. He really is a repugnant human being. And screw Welker too.

I don't understand the Welker hate. He was a stud for us. The guy was an over achiever 5"9 slot receiver who missed one pass in a super bowl & made fun of Rex Ryan's foot fetish. Who cares if he played with Manning. It's a business & players can do what they believe is best for them. Besides his exit lead to us signing Danny playoffs. Also Welker did not lose us that Super bowl. It is a team game.

When it comes to players from other teams my grudge list is expansive but 9 of the first 10 names are Jack Tatum. The only other name on that 'top' ten list is Pollard

This is a great idea for a thread.

Pats Players;
-AV is numero uno on my grudge list.
-Curtis Martin is a close 2nd
-Asante Samuel, mostly because of The Drop.
-Nick Buoniconti would be higher but much time has passed.
-Dion Lewis because he talked crap about the Pats.
-Mike Haynes for going to the Raiders.

Other Team's Players;
-Jack Tatum is easily the most despicable of them all. Normally I wouldn't speak ill of the dead but his dirty hit and the shameful way he tried to use Stingley to make money has me breaking that rule.
-Suggs, the a**hole who posed with a picture of Brady while laughing and pointing at his injured knee.
-Flowers, the guy who took Brady out of the Steelers playoff game in 2001.
-Pollard for you know what.
-T.J. Ward gets on the list for taking out Gronk's knee in 2013.
-Ray Lewis for killing two guys.

Other Coaches;
-Shula is the original Asterjerk who went public calling for an asterisk when the Pats went for the perfect season. His reason was that the Pats had been fined and lost a 1st rd draft pick. Apparently, the senile old pr!ck forgot that he and the Dolphins were also fined and lost a 1st rd pick in 1970 for tampering. That violation resulted in the Dolphins undefeated season.
-Any of the two Harbawls.
-Tuna for being the jerk that he is.
-Jeff Fisher for laughing at Rodney being injured.

Officials;
-Ben Dreith for stealing the Pats first SB appearance in 1976. I'll never get over that.
-Ed Hochuli for turning 3 hours games into 4 hours so he could hear himself yap. Let's hope the apple fell far from the tree and rolled down a hill even further away with his kid.

Everyone else;
-The NYFL
-Bill Polian for f***ing up the rules.
-The Indy Colts and the Baltimore Ravens for instigating defamegate.
-Jim Nants for being the original Tuckhead and crying about a correct call for years.
-Collinsworth for injecting his stupidity into games while ignoring great plays on the field at crucial times.
-Mort Whatshisname.

Non Football;
-The Boston Red Sox (and Boston Globe) owners for their incredibly petty jab at Curt Schilling by leaving him out of the 2004 team re-union at Fenway.. I can't imagine any other owners in all of sports that would do something like that.

I think that's it... for now.

Asante Samuel is number one on my list as well. Was a holdout during preseason, was tagged, and then signed a one year contract with conditions that essentially allowed him to leave at the end of the year. I sometimes wonder if he didn't drop that Super Bowl interception on purpose. His Wikipedia entry does not mention the drop. I think someone should edit the entry and say "Cost Patriots the Super Bowl and a perfect season."
The Vinitraitor.

I leaped out of my chair and thought that Samuel caught the INT until I looked at one of my friends and he was looking back at me shaking his head no.

Holy crap. That was 12 years ago.

Ray Lewis, not only for killing a guy, but for his stupid dancing as a player, then his holier than thou Reverend BS after becoming an analyst. I hate him.
Jack Tatum, for his hit on Stingley.
Shannon Sharpe, that horse faced POS with his mocking of the Patriots.
Irving Fryar, another head-case that we should have never drafted.
Tony Eason, a wuss that was drafted ahead of real QBs. The opposite of Grogan, who was fearless.
Ben Dreith, if I knew where he’s buried, I would come and piss on his grave.
Jordan Richards, for being the worst 2nd round pick of all time.
Shula, for his crap about the unbeaten season. The best part of the snowplow game was that it drove Shula nuts.
Tuna, for making a deal with the Jets when he should have been focused on the Super Bowl game.

I can't help my feelings, and it's not necessarily fair at all, but I lost some respect for Welker and the way he helped forehead win those games in 13 and 15.

I rewatched the 2nd half of the 15 game, and Brady was incredible. Just driving the ball with all his might and very accurate. A million things went wrong. & of course Brady missed Gronk in the end zone for the 2 point conversion. But the team fought like hell.

I lost some respect for Welker in those games.

I was pretty furious when Welker knocked Talib out of that game with a cheap shot pick play... BB was furious as well lol

Jack Tatum, Tony Eason, Ben Dreith and Satan are on an airplane that's going down...there's only three parachutes. Who takes the pipe?

The Vinitraitor.
Oh please. Samuel didn’t “drop” anything. Most WRs wouldn’t have caught that ball, let alone a defensive back.
