Coronavirus deaths.
Compare the stats to other flus for me. You have an enormous population in the US, and do not let me minimize your numbers but show me what the top end is in terms of normal flu season.

Flu deaths can run 15,000-45,000+ in a year
A lot of flu deaths never see the ICU or are a vent - many elderly patients have requested DNR status. The same will be true of coronavirus deaths.

For as much as we disagree I’m glad that we are on the same page on this. I hope other Trump supporters can realize the utter insanity of that comment.

I am sure Trump has advisors who have enough sense to come to the same realization that such comments and plans are wildly irresponsible and that they will grow a pair and tell him to cut the **** and call him out on his lunacy. Not just one person but multiple people need to tell him that.

Where is Tucker Carlson? He seems to be the only guy who can talk Trump off the ledge on this ****
.

this guy gets it

The momentum is the important part right now.

I’m a Trump fan. Always have been. On this, he hasn’t lost me just yet. He is however dangerously close to f-ing us all over. That church comment was....man that was beyond irresponsible. This is why you need a leader who will listen to those around him that are experts. This sounds like a desire and not something rooted in reality.

Trump wants 'packed churches' and economy open again on Easter despite the deadly threat of coronavirus

Trump added that "I'm not sure that's going to be the day," but "that would be a beautiful thing."

At a press briefing Tuesday evening, Trump appeared to back off the idea even further. "We'll only do it if it's good," Trump said, adding that he is "very much in touch" with White House experts. "I just think it would be a beautiful timeline."

"Our decision will be based on hard facts and data as to the opening" of the economy, Trump said in that presser. "Every decision is grounded solely in the health, safety and wellbeing of our citizens."

At this point the guy should know that if he says something like that, it will be difficult to walk it back.

As the leader of the country, it’s unfathomable that he would say something like that flippantly. You have state leaders and local leaders trying to enforce a non-military form of stay-in shelters, and he’s undermining it.

Mistakes like this will cost lives. Sorry to be dramatic here, but how low is the bar if we’re okay with the POTUS saying something unfathomably stupid in the midst of a crisis like this, and then revealing afterwards he basically had no basis for it?

There is literally nothing wrong with what Trump said there. Only a fool would NOT want things to be able to me more open by (any freakin' date chosen).

Some of you really need help, because politics is making you as ridiculous as all get out.

That's good. Do you think Tucker talked him off the ledge again?

Did this happen somewhere and I missed it??

Of course you missed it. That Illuminati Antichrist @IcyPatriot swooped in and deleted everything before I could so much as get a screenshot. It's all too clear 'THEY' don't want the fair and balanced truth getting out. Poor Tommy, he was right there on the edge of not just setting things straight once and for all but putting everyone with an IQ over 90 in their place at the same time. It was devastating for our hero Tommy and he vowed not to be silenced, that nothing would keep him from setting everything to rights once and for all. But then his Mom yelled down the basement stairs that dinner was ready.

Not sure about the flu, but if car crashes were a virus it would be way deadlier than the Covid-19.

For every car crash there would be like 3 car crashes growing exponentially until you would have 36,000 deaths. Not crashes, those are real deaths. That's a lot.

I don’t know. What I think is that trump has a massive ego. And that the way the economy has tanked is probably killing him inside

Just what this country needs...a panicking Donald Trump.

I know. I’m really hoping he doesn’t crack and do something dumb. Hoping he does what’s best for everyone here

Um yes there most certainly is. From the article:

[In another Fox interview, Trump said, “You’ll have packed churches all over our country … I think it’ll be a beautiful time.”]

We have a global pandemic that which is getting exponentially worse by the day. We have states trying to encourage it's citizens to engage in social distancing, by advice of the medial experts across the world. Every other country is taking the steps necessary to contain the virus and setting no timeline or trying to rush things. Trump making these comments hinder efforts at social distancing. Everyone else is acknowledging that these unfortunate measures must stay in place and definitely longer than two weeks.

You have Trump supporters in this very thread who are acknowledging that this comments were dumb as ****.

Anyone who thinks there is 'literally nothing wrong' with his comments needs to take a break from discussing this topic and get in touch with reality.
