BB makes us competitive bruh..So, you’re essentially saying that we should only sign QBs? Gotcha

Also, Stud-arm is our QB..at least for now..

I'm saying a team without a qb is irrelevant. Stidham may be great. I have no idea. But he hasn't proven it, and until we have a proven qb, acquiring one should be priorities 1-9 followed by a strong OL. Everything else is meaningless until we have those.

I disagree with your statement. Even the best quarterback of all time was ineffective
with lousy receivers and tight ends.

Right, but we were still a playoff team. The Bears had a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but no qb. They watched the playoffs like you.

True and good point, but how do you see them addressing the issue? Serious question btw

Can't see why they don't pull the trigger on Eifert this second. They need at least two TEs.

I can see oneother real possibility and two "that-ain't-gonna-happen" ones.

ESPN's Jake Trotter believes the Browns will consider trading David Njoku this offseason

In the Ain't column I have the Giants trading Evan Engram. They just signed Toilolo and Kaden Smith who is third on the depth chart as a rookie had 31 receptions and 3 TD's. Engram is on the last year of a $3.4mm rookie deal.

Second in the Ain't column is a trade with the Bucs. If TB wants JE it can happen. Although I would want Howard and a swap of first rounders (from #23 to #14) for JE. Brate might be offered up. "He offers far more value than any rookie Pats could add in the later rounds and his contract has no dead money remaining. His 2020 salary cap hit is just $6 million (roughly $4 million less than Austin Hooper), and he's proven to be a reliable red-zone target during his time with the Buccaneers. He'd be a fantastic addition to the roster".

Pick #14 gets us closer to Justin Herbert range. You'd still have to jump the Chargers at #6.

Love JE but at 34 and his big brother now in Tampa, it makes sense.

Thoughts?

PFT responses are really ripping Elway for signing Gordon.

If Broncos again have a losing record in 2020 will this be the end for Elway?

Will he have enough sense to walk away or will he wait to be fired?

This is why Tom Brady is in Tampa Bay instead of Foxboro. Tom got frustrated
last year with the inability of his receivers to get open, running the wrong routes,
and dropping his passes. Their first few signings this year do not not include a decent tight end or wide receiver. Exit Tom Brady.

Brady is in Tampa because bb tried to trade brady in 2018 to San Francisco. Kraft meddled where he did not belong and because of that, jimmy g went to San Fran instead.

I'll take the Super Bowl victory.

Thanks Bob.

As always, Belichick will sign more free agents before the draft and trade for players before the draft. We will have the draft, including all the trades during the draft. Bill will sign and trade all the way through the trade deadline.

I expect several signing or trades before the draft, including a couple of DL's, a LB or 2, a FB and a QB. Obviously, we could pick up another WR.

The draft will almost certainly include a LB early, a QB, a couple of WR's and a couple of OL's.

That's way too much value that someone would give up for Edelman. A 23 to 14 trade down is in itself worth quite a bit of trade value (a 2nd rounder according to the chart). Adding a TE to that deal on TB's part is non-justifiable. Edelman is worth a 4th with a 3rd maximum. He's 33 and a slot WR. He worked in New England but few teams in the league really value slot WRs as much.

John Lynch confirmed that never happened. The real story is Lynch asked for Garoppolo during the 2017 offseason and got shot down by Belichick, so he asked for Brady instead and BB laughed and hung up.

John Lynch confirms he tried to trade for Tom Brady when the Pats rebuffed him on Jimmy Garopppolo

To any other team Edelman is worth a mid rounder. But to Tampa given the situation (win now mode, familiarization with TB), he just may be worth pick 45 this year.

Eh. I would replace "mid rounder" in your post with "late rounder", and "pick 45" with "mid rounder". Edelman really doesn't carry as much trade value as we want him to.

Not really. The Bucs still have needs and are probably smart enough to realize a WR3 is less important than an offensive lineman or defensive back which a 2nd round pick could provide a starter for.

I would welcome Njoku or Engram. If Harry and Meyers take steps foward and the oline is healthy, thats a pretty good receiving core. Still would need your inline blocking TE and speedster(Byrd?).

I dunno since 12 left it has been hard to picture the offense. Could go so many ways..

This offseason news plus quarantine day 6 makes me want to use my wife as a tackling dummy.

This makes sense because Tom left over a grudge and feeling disrespected.
