Harmon Traded to Lions

There will be a couple more trades of defensive players to Detroit, followed by Belichick announcing that he's leaving to become D coordinator there.

Did anyone point out that we are up against the cap? So this is a cap dump of an expensive player in a still stocked Secondary.

all the talk about tanking and hair pulling is off base. We need cap room.

the Thuney franchise tag needs to get worked out soon into a trade or long term deal which will also help.

Harmon played 2/3 of the defensive snaps last year and there’s no obvious in house replacement given that Brooks sucks.

not sure how that’s “well stocked” especially given Chung’s age and durability concerns

JoeJuwahahaan in the deep field?

We might have a Harmon appreciation thread if it weren’t for all the other massive stories.

Guy was very underrated and a great player. He took less to come back to the Pats and also gladly took a complimentary role when he could have started elsewhere. He came up with a ton of clutch plays.

I’m perfectly comfortable to go into tank mode for Lawrence. I’ll have the Bucs as a surrogate next season. Just don’t go 0-16.

Nobody seems to have the details of the late round swap of picks. I hope we get back into the 5th round.

I hate not having a pick in the 2nd & 5th rounds. That Sanu trade was ugly.

All it takes is a couple of “IR” trips to allow the tank. Plus that Indy team was pretty darn good and without Gomer they tanked. If Stid isn’t the answer, full speed to the bottom.

This is a QB driven league. A Colts like Gomer to Luck scenario is a nightmare for the league. Maybe Stid is already Luck but who knows.
The Colts kept starting Curtis Painter, even though he was a complete disaster. When they finally had lost enough games to give them a pretty good shot at the number one pick, they started Dan Orlovsky. He was not a great or even good QB, but he was serviceable, and won a few games for them, but not enough to jeopardize the top choice in the draft.

Obviously we have a whole offseason to go but, given what we have right now, mediocre is putting it kindly. This team is... pretty bad.

Hmmm

Maybe we should resign Scott Secules.

Damiere Byrd - Pats HOF, or no?

I hope we are competitive for the division title , then anything after would be a bonus

Right now Buffalo is the best team in the division and it's not even close.
