It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Question of marginal value - he’s good and affordable, but does spending the money on him make the team better compared with spending it on, say, a TE better than LaCosse and Izzy?We traded a decent safety on an affordable contract for peanuts.
If this wasn't Belichick making the move, I would have said "The GM is losing it."
charges dropped.isn't our starting strong safety going to jail or did they figure that? wth!

Good move we need to build
Can’t speak for Eluemenor.... regarding DMac though, he is a team captain. Harmon isn’t. They need captains and leaders to help keep the team focused post-Brady. If Belichick loses the locker room, it’s all over. Not a coincidence that DMac, JMac, and Slater were the first moves this offseason.I have to say this is the first time in a while that I am just completely bewildered at what the plan is. Why re-sign McCourty and trade Harmon? Why tender Eluemenor? etc.
We need Robbie Anderson or Breshad Perriman we need a deep threat. If you want to tank/rebuild you don't sign an older, but better, safety for $10m and then dump the younger, but worse, safety for $5m.
If it was a "fire sale rebuild" they would've tried to get a better pick I would think. A quick trade with an amenable partner for low value tells me they wanted to make some cap space quickly, which would mean they want to spend the money (probably). Doesn't really line up with a "tank job" thought process.
Love Harmon but the position was a bit of a luxury after they paid McCourty, at least in the short term. Would they trade a corner too?
Maybe they were going on the assumption that they could get back TB12 for another year on the cheap and wanted to keep the band together, but now that TB12 has moved on they're on to a full blown rebuild. If you want to tank/rebuild you don't sign an older, but better, safety for $10m and then dump the younger, but worse, safety for $5m.

Tough to tank with a top 10 OL, the best secondary in the NFL & Belichick as coach.
The tank comments are absurd unless you moved on from Gilmore. Even then a BB man defense with Jackson, McCourty & Jones isn’t bad enough to get the #1 pick
God damn... maybe we really are tanking. What’s the compensation?

Fire sale. Let’s do it. But why the **** did we resign McCourty?
Do you trade McCourty then
He's a top-10 safety in the NFL and they gave him away? I guess he's a luxury but goddamn.
