REPORT: Tampa is Brady's Likely Landing Spot

Wouldn’t every team do pretty well if they managed to do those things?
Not if they are starting with dog-**** talent.

Not gonna lie I’m salty over him leaving, hope he stays healthy but plays mediocre football.

Wished he would of retired a Patriot.

The only thing missing on that bucs team is a good corner and a good OL. Their D line was good. Best run defense in the league.

They could use a stronger running game too. Not sure what they can do with $20 million in cap space.

Yep

TB MUST improve running the ball.

Honestly Tampa might be one of the only teams in the league Pats fans and their fans never had strong negative feelings for. It’s almost an easy fit to still be a Pats fan but be happy if he has success there.

I suppose we should all be getting ready for mostly 1 PM games with crappy announcers like Ian eagle?

Dude from Tampa sports is on WEEI.

“Anyone who follows football knows the Bucs aren’t a 35 year old..never mind a 43 year old Tom Brady from winning the SB.”

Refreshing to hear that and quite a distinction from some here.

I don't know lets look at the 2019 Tampa Bay season.

Lost w1 31-17, had 4 TOs
Lost w6 37-26, had 7TOs
Lost w7 27-23, had 4TOs
Lost w11 34-17, had 4TOs
Lost w16 23-20, had 5TOs
Lost w17 28-22(OT), had 3 TOs

How many of those 6 games turn around with Brady not turning the ball over once per quarter?

Then the other 3 loses
32-31 to NYG, only 1 TO!
40-34(OT) to Seattle, only 1 TO!
31-24 to NO, ZERO TOs!!!! But only 262 yards of offense.

Lets be honest with a 35 year old(2012 season 557 points scored) Tom Brady the 2019 Buccaneers might have gone undefeated. Well okay, maybe the loss to NYG stays because its is TB12 :p

The schedule is favorable for Tampa. They get both the Chiefs and Packers at home.

Also the SB is in Tampa. Would be surreal if Brady can get them there and be the first team to ever play the SB at home.

One more accolade to his resume. Patriots first, but I do want to see him light it up in Tampa and pass Brees.

Bought 2 Bucs season tix last night. I expect it will be a very happy place to drop in on.
If Brady went to Mia or Jax..... no effing way I contribute to either of those organizations.

Me too. He has all his games in warm weather or domes. The only potential game would be Chicago if it is late in the season. That is a point most are not talking about but at age 43, the elbow, the shoulder, the hips all stay much looser so hopefully he can avoid the tendinitis. I am rooting for him to light it up. There are a ton of stories that the Bucs are open to getting AB as well assuming he is not serving a lengthy suspension. They have $60 mil in cap space, the second most of any team. This was a very good choice by Brady and finally he gets to play for an offensive minded HC whose first priority will be the offense and loading it up. I am pretty psyched to watch it all unfold.

Stop whining snowflake.

The deal is done. Im way ahead of you as usual.
Wasn't your last thread title "Brady signs with Pats, now what"?

Same here. Bucs games just became a LOT more interesting.

He's entitled to do what he wants. He wants to play until 45 so be it. I can understand both Bill and Tom's perspectives on this. Id rather see Tom on another team and excel there than be in NE with a bunch of stiffs.
I'm not convinced the Pats have "a bunch of stiffs." Last year Edelman was injured, Sanu had double digit catches in the one game he was healthy prior to his high ankle sprain (i.e. looked really good). There were two rookie receivers who show substantial promise. The "lack of weapons" was not for lack of trying, it was just the Pat's year to suffer injuries, etc (plus Brown, Gordon, OL et.al.)

So let's say Evans suffers a high ankle sprain, Godwin pulls a hamstring, etc. Will Tommy be complaining that he doesn't have weapons? Injuries happen all the time in the NFL and it was only two seasons ago where Evans missed substantial time with (I believe) a pulled hamstring. Tommy is an injury or two away from playing with "a bunch of stiffs, " only now with Ariens, a crappy OL and a totally different team culture. Be careful what you wish for.

My ideal scenario is the Stidham led Patriots beat Tom Brady and the Bucs in a Super Bowl shoot out. Stidham establishes himself as a top 10ish QB and Brady has an MVP worthy season. Pats fan first but will be watching and rooting for Brady from afar. Tampa is one of the few teams that illicit no feelings so I am fine with them being good. $30M a year seems like a lot but when you realize that Goff, Wentz, Dak and Tannehill are also around that mark it is certainly not outlandish.
