Brady gone

I live in Texas and am in a brewery east of Houston. The football talk about Brady right now makes it easy to see how they lost their team to Tennessee.

Either I'm not understanding you or you're saying that the inevitable tide of people turning on Brady or Belichick somehow played into the TEN game and that, sir, is bonkers.

Enjoy Texas!

I'm still pissed at 13 year old self for not disregarding my mom's proclamation "If you go to NYC to see Pink Floyd, I am not letting you back in the house ever again". She would have gotten over it after kicking me out for a few days, I think. That was The Wall shows at MSG and I had a ticket reserved for me that I passed on. I think that was 1980 IIRC.

Statistics are meaningless. When it was “winning time”, you knew Brady would be at his best. The team had absolute faith in him. And he never, ever gave up. It is fitting that the crowning moment of his career was the greatest Super Bowl comeback ever. No one else, and I mean no one, could have pulled that off.

Houston Oilers -

With the weapons in Tampa it's extremely unlikely the experiment will be a failure. They might not have the D to win a superbowl, but they'll put up points and be a lot of fun to watch. Also, more fans in the seats, so hardly a failure.
There's many paths to both success and failure. Having strong skill position players is great, but it's a long season and he's a 43 year old guy behind a weak OL. There will be a lot of adjustments for everyone to make because if they run the Arians offense Tom will get killed. I won't be surprised if they get off to a slow start.

50/50 Tom won't finish the season there.

No, dear sir. I meant how off their opinion of football is has made it crystal clear to me why the Oilers moved to Tennessee. This is like nails on a chalk board with the bad takes. It’s actually not anti Patriot. Just dumb!

Tom Brady apparently won’t be happy until his brain achieves a soup-like consistency. I feel sorry for his wife.

Yeah I'm dumb, sorry.

He probably already does. That doesn’t mean the Bucs don’t give him a good shot at #7. Not sure how many of their games you caught last year up there (I would assume 0 since it’s hard to believe they’d ever be on in Boston unless they were playing the AFCE), but they’re pretty well stacked. Their one weakness was a QB who threw as many INTs as he did TDs. That’s not happening with Brady. The guy is 43 but he threw for 4,000+ yards, 24 TDs, and 8 INTs with what was undoubtedly the ****tiest WR and TE positional groupings in the NFL. He should thrive in Tampa.

Hes gonna wonder why his WRs are over 5’9 and get separation, so he’ll have to adjust to that

Here is one underrated part of Brady I always admired :

regardless of where you came from, what your background was, creed/religion/beliefs - Tom Brady was somehow able to relate to you. He was able to get close to pretty much all of his teammates and they always spoke highly of him.

That is an impressive skill. Takes a certain personality. Great player, great leader.

If I put $250 on that what’s my return ?
Now, not sure. Haven’t checked the update odds. Have to be way worse than the 55-1

Tom Brady has brought me more joy than I could ever imagine and I'll be forever grateful for what he he's done for New England. At the same time, I am a Patriots fan first and foremost, and this really, really, really stings. With that being said, I can't say I won't be actively rooting against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers to lose every single game they play

Good luck, Tom. I have a feeling you're going to need it.

Several good OTs available for the Bucs at 13 in the draft and O lineman are a position that often can come in and start effectively right away. And they have a bit of cap space to sign one too. If they get off to a slow start, it won't be because of the TB led offense.
