By that argument they were going to suck in a year or two anyways. That's all Brady has left. So instead of sucking in 1-2 years, use the cap space you save not re-signing him and start the inevitable retool.

You people seem to think NE let the 38 or 33 year-old Brady walk rather than the 43 year-old one.

What if.....what if Brady didn't want to stay? Maybe Brady just wanted to see what it was like to play on another team for another fan base. Life goes on. The team will be fine. So will Brady.

I am reacting to his entire tenure here in NE. This guy took less every single year and they NEVER gave him skill players on offense, which they could have easily afforded. And despite that, they still won 6 Super Bowls on his back. THE GOAT!

I’ll generously say next years team has a chance of 9-7 and an outside shot at the wild card.

Team probably won’t be fine either way. BB has his work cut out for him. They’re cap strapped and their drafts have kind of sucked for the last five years. This is his biggest test since the year 2000.
