Mods, if we already have a thread like this I didn't see it, please merge.

While most of us are sad Brady is leaving, we have a thread for that. I wanted to start a thread to discuss what we have at QB or want to see at QB.

Me, I'd like to see Jalen Hurts in a Pats uniform. I don't know why, he just screams WINNER to me. I assume we revamp our whole offense to suit whomever we bring in, and I'd rather bring in a rookie and try something new than have someone else try to learn the Brady System.

I know we've had a few Stidham hype pieces this last week, but is he for real? Or is he like all the summer hype pieces we got on Maurice Harris or the Inman guy? It's hard to know right now.

Trevor Lawrence

Hurts Herbert Tua Lawrence Stidham or maybe Winston. If Brisett comes back I'll be stoked.

Just imagine it. Somehow the Patriots are so bad that they end up with the Nr. 1 pick. I think Goddell would take the pick away or something like that.

Tank for Lawrence. Short term pain for long term gain. Going 8-8 or 9-7 doesn't do any good.

I'd love to believe that Jarrett Stidham is the second coming of Tom Brady, but if we're being realistic he's probably a scrub like the vast majority of QBs taken later in the draft.

I don't believe they'll tank for [blank] under Belichick.

I have to think they're going to bring in brisette

Stidham gets first crack at it. We’ll see what’s what is the coming years. NE will continue taking shots in the mid rounds of the draft and hope to find a player.

There are more QBs available than good places for them to go. Sit back, let some guys get cut, and then reevaluate.

Not overly fond of these "safe," low-ceiling options like Bridgewater (who looks like he's gone regardless) or Brissett. (And anyway, I guess Kessler already checks that box.) Would rather just give it a whirl with Stidham.

I personally find outside-the-box ideas, say Cam+McDaniels, more intriguing.

I don't know if Belichick wants to change the offense, and in particular, I don't know if he's changed his opinion on the viability of QBs that pull the ball down and run 10+ times a game. That said, if ever there were a time, it'd be now.

Hugh Millen is available I hear...

Kraft wants Y.A. Tittle. He says his name, er, game inspires him.

I think he's trying to get the first woman QB to play in the NFL....Sulap Mei Wang from Allhore St. could fit the bill...

Uh, I'd rather they played Sanu or Edelman at QB than Whiner Cam Newton.

Stid the Kid

Mothball the no risk passing game and let’s air it out.

Maybe Bill will now feel more comfortable attacking the whole field instead of the 10 yard box between the hashes
