Brady gone

I feel like brady should stay in the afc. Tampa is a big mistake. They don’t have a great defense. Go to the chargers even if it means going head to head with mahomes.

We’ll see. Hard to be a good defense when your QB turns the ball over as many times as Winston did.

Listen, I love brady but to me this sounds like he had no desire to even return. Especially if he is considering crap bag franchises like the chargers or bucks who both have abysmal lines.

For some reason, at 43 brady decided to act like a 30 year old brady and go for the money. But let's be honest, while some of last year was due to the roster we cannot absolve brady of all the blame.

If Brady goes to a team with a poor pass blocking line he won't finish the season. At 43, he can't afford to take hits. As it is, his recognition is going to be off in a new system...

Hey we're almost certain to get new uniforms out of this...
Just think of the "good" that comes w Brady taking his Guerrero Happy Endings elsewhere...
More 1 O'Clock games, easier access to tickets, maybe cheaper tickets, less fan boys on this web site...and most importantly NO PRESSURE...we as fans won't be going into 90% of games thinking the Pats should win...
If this is the 2020 team w Stidham and really, what talent is out there now...this Pats team is 7-9 at best... we'll see lots of empty seats down at Jonathan City come December...
You think Tuggy institutes PSLs when attendance predictably takes a big time ****?

This feels worse then getting laid off from my job yesterday.

Rather go 4-12 or 3-13. They have some young guys but some old guys on this team. They should have been shopping some guys for picks.

Bye Brady thanks for the memories. This fan appreciates it, can't speak for the rest of them. I already know they don't care.

I just got an alert on my phone form the score that said Pats and Brady didn't even negotiate.

BB Clearly wanted Brady gone.
Or Brady didnt wantt to stay after he negotiated a no franchise tag contract last yr

God speed Tom. I hope you succeed wherever you are.

For Brady’s new team maybe. God you guys think he is something special still. If so, why weren’t teams pounding his door down to sign him?
Because he’s 43 and as good as he is, unless you are convinced you win a Super Bowl this year, he’s just a cap sync. At least one half of this league is not going to win a thing regardless of QB. If Brady was a solid 5-10 year plan you might consider making him a foundational piece.

Then you have teams like the Saints, Packers, Falcons, Seahawks etc who are good at QB. Then teams like the Colts that would just rather build a young team than invest in someone who won’t be there long

I am not a fan of stidham. I don’t think his ceiling is that high. I think they’re hopeful he can be another jimmy g which means good enough but needs stuff to happen around him.

At this point of his career we can say the same thing about Brady.

This is going to be a long time argument here I bet, so I'll just sing the refrain here: how would we know he slipped given the injuries and situation at wideout?

A younger Brady for years had the ability to raise the players around him. That time has passed.

BB knew this and tried to run to a run first Offense, we say that during the SB run, The plan last year blew up with the injuries to Devlin, Andrews, Wynn and nagging injuries to Canon and Mason last year.
They tried signing AB to change direction when it became clear plan A wouldn't happen.

No way to be anything but grateful to Tom Brady for all the great moments and memories he has brought to me and my kids, who grew up idolizing him.

We can speculate all we want about whether this was driven by NEP economics or by Brady's desire to expand the TB12 brand, but for now gratitude and appreciation are the order of the day.

Thank you, Tom Brady.

This sucks in so many ways. I cannot watch Tom Brady play in another uniform. I hate that his career as a Patriot ended on a pick six. I wish he could have retired a Patriot.

That said, I saw this coming, Belichick always is willing to let a player go one year too early rather than one year too late. And I think people were in denial about Brady last year and were willing to push all the blame on the offense to the o-line and the receivers and not accepting that Brady's skills may have dropped off a bit with age.

I wish Tom all the best. I wish he could retire here. I think he can still be an above average QB for the next year or two (I think the elite days are behind him though). He will always be one of my top three favorite Patriots with Troy Brown and Tedy Bruschi.

His career ended exactly the way they wanted it to end.
