I tried to prepare myself because I knew this was coming. But...

I feel like brady should stay in the afc. Tampa is a big mistake. They don’t have a great defense. Go to the chargers even if it means going head to head with mahomes.

All of you who wanted this hope you enjoy our .500 season.

I'll take .500 for the next couple year to be back in the Big Show thereafter.
If you prefer 10-7, 9-8, and then 2-14 (assuming we stay at 16 games)...then have at it.
We have to move on. In BB I trust.

You think anyone who disagrees with you is spouting nonsense? Narcissist.

Thanks for sharing. I'll take your opinion with all the seriousness I feel it deserves.

At least I got to see him play in his last ever Patriots game. Not the result either of us wanted but I’m glad I was there to see it.

Thanks for the memories TB. A true gentleman and legend of the game. Good luck.

Brady pulled his kids from their school mid year. Did he do this to create leverage against NE? Of course not unless you think Brady is the most manipulative athlete alive.
Brady’s exodus had been well underway for some time, since last summer at a minimum.... and Brady has been in charge of his own actions.
BB has simply refused to engage in a *********** that wasn’t going culminate in a Brady re-up with the Pats

No. Brady didn't pull his kids from school mid-year. That was a bogus report that was debunked time and again.

There hasn't been an "exodus".

Brady has always been in charge of his own actions.

You joke but between the virus, what’s going on in the world in general, and now this, the suicide rate has probably elevated in Boston today.

This sucks in so many ways. I cannot watch Tom Brady play in another uniform. I hate that his career as a Patriot ended on a pick six. I wish he could have retired a Patriot.

That said, I saw this coming, Belichick always is willing to let a player go one year too early rather than one year too late. And I think people were in denial about Brady last year and were willing to push all the blame on the offense to the o-line and the receivers and not accepting that Brady's skills may have dropped off a bit with age.

I wish Tom all the best. I wish he could retire here. I think he can still be an above average QB for the next year or two (I think the elite days are behind him though). He will always be one of my top three favorite Patriots with Troy Brown and Tedy Bruschi.

The AFC is the stronger conference right now IMO.

Tom was a great QB and yes he has declined. I was fine with the decline because a declined TB is still a top 10 QB and would be happy to have him for a few more years. However his attitude declined far faster than his skills and I don't think he was a good locker-room guy for the whole team this last year. There was talk they had to get rid of Jimmy because he was winning the locker room. Last year was a disaster in my opinion mostly because Antonio Brown. We shuffled others we could have used out because Brown was here then he lasted a week. Brady seemed like he had a hissy fit the entire rest of the season about the Patriots tossing Brown.

Honestly I kind of view Brady as a taller Tom Cruise at this point. Yes his intensity and weirdness is part of what made him great but it has gotten weirder and weirder. I was sick of the entire season last year focusing on Brady and look forward to the future.

To you, too. All the best.

So you’re like one of these people who say they’re moving to Canada if their choice of president doesn’t get elected. But you’re actually following on it. Cool.

All this doom and gloom about tanking and what not, how does anyone here know what we have right now in stidham with a preseason and less than a quarter of regular season action before assuming we tank? If anything the moves we’ve seen so far suggest that BB thinks he can field a competitive team with stidham/FA/draft pick.

I am not a fan of stidham. I don’t think his ceiling is that high. I think they’re hopeful he can be another jimmy g which means good enough but needs stuff to happen around him.

Hey we're almost certain to get new uniforms out of this...
Just think of the "good" that comes w Brady taking his Guerrero Happy Endings elsewhere...
More 1 O'Clock games, easier access to tickets, maybe cheaper tickets, less fan boys on this web site...and most importantly NO PRESSURE...we as fans won't be going into 90% of games thinking the Pats should win...
If this is the 2020 team w Stidham and really, what talent is out there now...this Pats team is 7-9 at best... we'll see lots of empty seats down at Jonathan City come December...

The whole Tampa doesn’t have a great defense thing is false. It’s not great. But it’s not terrible like some are making it out to be

It’s so difficult to incorporate a veteran receiver into his complicated offense. I don’t know how he thinks he can start over with a different team at 43. Good luck to him, but better luck to our Patriots.
Depends on the talent level of the wide receiver. Pats have rarely brought in a high level wide receiver while Brady was here and who was not at the very, very end of his career. Moss was fine. AB last year looked like he got it right away.

Will cost them a second

And a QB who can’t throw the deep ball and expects intense precision from his receivers. Think any of those TB guys fit his game? Or can adapt that quickly? With no practices?
