Brady gone

Curious to see if all those "cliff" takes will follow TB to his new home.

Well, not curious enough to watch the shows or media type who've been saying this, but, you know, let me know please.

I just got an alert on my phone form the score that said Pats and Brady didn't even negotiate.

BB Clearly wanted Brady gone.
...or TB didn't want to come back.

At any rate it takes both sides to do a deal and obviously both sides didn't want the other bad enough

One thing I noticed is that the Brady didn't thank the fans in his announcement. Kind of telling...

And it was a suicide
You out? I know you said you were moving on when Brady did. It’s been fun shooting the breeze with you over the years.

My favorite athlete ever, in any sport. I’ll never stop loving Tom Brady. And I’ll never stop loving the Patriots. I think this scenario was written on the wall last summer when he signed his extension. Once we knew it was for only one year in reality, kinda knew it was over. Then add in a subpar year for him, and we know how Belichick operates, he doesn’t wait until it’s too late.

Cap space and horrible drafting was our enemy, finally caught up to us. Hopefully Stidham proves me wrong as far as my comments on horrible drafting. It’s a very bad day for Brady/Pat’s fans, but it was an amazing 20 year run, will never be seen again in football history. Tough to digest right now.

I said since last year Brady was different he was distant he didn't build his guys up stayed away from programs he would normally be the first one there for.
Looked disinterested and defeated on the sideline at times.

Whatever happened between Tom and Bill anyone who didn't look at this situation with Tom Colored glasses could see this divorce.
We should've listened to you. Maybe we could've done something.

3. I'm paying very close attention to the draft because I do see this mattering a lot. We are building toward the future right now, and we're no longer selecting pieces that fit around a team competing for the SB. We're now in BPA mode.

BPA is a misnomer unless you're saying BPA according to the Pats Draft Board.

The Pats will continue to draft for the long term future. The top 4 picks are likely to be 3 on defense and one on offense.

Brady is gone, I am fine with it he slipped last year and this year he won't get any better. Other team may have better pieces to hide the decline. I wish him well.

When he retires he will be welcome back with open arms. They should waive whatever time requirement for the Pats HOF so he can go in they year he retires, don't want a conflict where he goes into the Pats HOF the same year as the Pro Football HOF.

Heh. Go read the comments on his social media from supposed Pats fans and you’ll probably get a good idea why.

Dont post much, but feel like this is a worthy moment...

I've been a Boston sports fan since the 1960's (Pats, Celtics, Sox, Bruins) and I've gone through many seasons, some up, some down, followed many players, lived and died with different teams, and if I step back and look at the big picture I can unequivocally say that no player has given me more joy (individual moments as well as overall) than Brady.

Many thanks Tom. I wish you the best

Someone should do a wellness check on JE11.

Whoever gets Tom should offer NE a #1 for him.

Hopefully, the Pats can simplify the offense so they can develop some WR's that don't have to be super geniuses right off the bat.

Those aren't fans. Those are people with deep mental issues.

I noticed that too but I'm expecting a separate ack to the fans.

I'm out. I'm just deciding whether to follow and discuss events for a few days/weeks first, or step away now. The idiocy of so many in this thread has me leaning towards a clean break.

This is going to be a long time argument here I bet, so I'll just sing the refrain here: how would we know he slipped given the injuries and situation at wideout?
