Back to the original point I made: you can’t criticize Trump to this extent and not piss off conservatives, even moderate conservatives. It’s just a fact.
I wouldn't consider it a "shtick." I've tried to be clear that I'm not anti-Republican or anti-conservative, for me it's not about ideology. I'm anti-incompetence/mismanagement, particularly in a crisis with lives at stake. I'd hope folks could be objectively honest in making the distinction. I don't want the president to fail. I want him to succeed, but he is proving himself incapable back from the very beginning of this thing.

I understand. But the fact remains that if you’re going to needle Trump constantly, it’s going to push people’s buttons, even those that are a lot more of a laid back conservative like RW. That’s not your intent, but it’s inevitable.

I never ever ever would vote for thet clown.

But its disturbing that in a time of need for calm cool collective heada that there are people who wasted no time pouncing on blaming him for this.

First off, this has never happened to this extent in almost anyone who's alive life time. It's hard to say he or his administration should of been prepared for this.

But secondly and more importantly this virus originated in a country that isnt ours and not enough people are mad about that or the preventive measures that counter took to keep this from spreading around the world.

I wish people could he more in the middle and less aligned with parties because this is not the time to take sides

Well, I'd say it's unfortunate they're so attached to the ideological/tribal aspect of their support for Trump that they can't be objective enough to acknowledge the inexcusably poor job he's done managing this crisis. Again, I'm not out to "needle" Trump or "push people's buttons." (And if the allegedly "laidback conservative RW" is vexed to the point of derogatory labeling and name-calling that's his issue more than mine.) Yes, I am letting off steam while probably being over-the-top about it. At some point I'll take a break and everyone can breathe a sigh of relief, assuming they give a rat's ass whatever the hell I'm grousing about. o_O

This is where I am at with POTUS. I don't blame him personally for the virus or the fact that it found its way into the US. I do hold him accountable for his administration's inconsistent messaging, slow response and lack of coordinated planning.

First off, this has never happened to this extent in almost anyone who's alive life time. It's hard to say he or his administration should of been prepared for this.
Both he and his administration should have been better prepared. They were slow to ramp up test kits, they failed to put full travel bans in place until it was too late and they have not communicated responsibilities clearly with state governors. On top of that, lack of guidelines to customs has meant that some people entering the US are screened while others not. As far as I know, the virus doesn't discriminate.

But secondly and more importantly this virus originated in a country that isnt ours and not enough people are mad about that or the preventive measures that counter took to keep this from spreading around the world.
Good point. I'm pissed that the MD that first identified this as a new virus in China was silenced by the government and later died from the infection. He gave his life trying to protect his countrymen and trying to alert the world. And I'm pissed that China is currently trying to push a conspiracy theory that the US planted the virus in Wuhan. And of course, like any conspiracy theory, there is no proof offered up.

I wish people could he more in the middle and less aligned with parties because this is not the time to take sides
I agree, this should not be a GOP vs Dem issue. This is a crisis management issue and this POTUS has shown he and his administration were ill prepared to handle it. That's not because Trump is a Republican, it's because the people he chooses to put closest to him are inept. It's the people that are outside of the inner circle that are keeping us from going off the rails.

I'm not saying your wrong. Yes, idiots. I don't think of it as having two sides, though.

And accounts with hundreds of followers, likes, deep history, photos, all that can easily be automated and created nearly overnight.
There’s not two sides, just idiots on both sides. And I don’t think the right was making IG and Twitter accounts in 2012-2013 waiting for the next pandemic to stir the masses for the benefit of the future Trump administration. That’s a reach, chief.

Wait, I thought you said you took advantage and bought tickets to Cali for like $300 for the wife and you. I hope it's for after the lockdown phase. Anyway bad time to travel anywhere period.
That’s in July, but at this point I’m not sure if we are going to be able to use them. Same for our honeymoon.

I love the whole angle of “This isn’t about politics or either side being wrong, but...” then said person proceeds to angle their politics.
