I'm more concerned with the 5 mil miguel says we have left to spend AND it being only day 1.

How they're gonna free up the money to sign brady and find him the skilled players is beyond me at this point.

Its just hit me now, 15 minutes ago that that's the end of that dynasty and bill really is arragont enough roll that same offense out there with a year two clown.

I root for the Patriots but it's not gonna hurt my feelings if bill has egg on his face if that decision backfires.

I rather tank this year than go possibly 6-10 or 7-9.

This is day 1 of FA. When have you ever known BB to make these splashes this early? Gilmore was the outlier. Im sure Bill is aware of the WR market as are some other teams (Hopkins and Diggs trades, rumors of Brandon Cooks being available). The better value right now is dealing away some picks to acquire WRs already under contract for multiple years or waiting it out until the market settles. Our OL looks solid as does RB, give it time to see what we end up with at WR/TE. If nothing changes after the draft then id say theres validity to your claim.
Oline and RB looks solid?

What you don’t like a healthy sanu at 6.5 million dollars coming back healthy?

Not sure why BB is getting so much crap on this board. The 'bill" for 20 years of Brady had to be paid at some point and its due this year. No cap space and also years of fleecing other teams in trades (except for Sanu) have come back to bite Pats in the but.

With or without TB, they would be mediocre this year. TB legitimately wants to try something different for his last year or two. Next year they will have lots of cap space and hopefully choice draft picks.

but I can not believe the crap BB takes on this board- 6 Rings!!

im not sure what the plan is, but if bill thinks this team is going to do better after losing a bunch of pieces on defense, and then not adding anything on offense, and possibly losing brady, hes going to be surprised.

It’s time to get ready for some rough years the question is that this offense won’t help a guy like a stidham but bill might be hard headed to think last year’s struggles where all brady.

Bill has 5 mil to spend un free agency

And that's without signing the most important franchise player ever.

Spin it how you want but that pathetic.

For the life of me, I don’t understand the McCourty and Thuney deals. I love DMac, but he’s getting more than he did in his prime years (by age.) Thuney at $14M? You only pay that money for someone who can win games for you (Gilmore, Brady). I tried so hard to get on board with Mankins for years, but even at his best he wasn’t worth that much.

Almost seems like BB wants to make a point that the 2019 roster was sufficient...I don’t know. This is bizarre.

Didn’t understand thuney being franchise either. I thought he would be traded but obviously long term plan with stidham.

If having both those guys means no Brady than I'd rather have bone of them. Full on rebuild.

It hurts me that bill is having an issue fielding a contender right now.

Maybe BB has come to the realization that a 2 year rebuild is necessary. It has happened to EVERY team in this league except the Pats. The Rebuild is overdue. I am sure BB does not think this team will be better than next year or that they will compete for a SB.

Y'all quitting faster than Kontra. Bunch of ingrates.

If this is true. Then picking between 18 and 24 every round does us no good.

Let mccourty walk, give those reps to a player of the future and not lose on purpose but lets be Frank here, go all in on the rebuild.

Not a rebuild on the fly.

It's not looking like they can field a better team than last year's.

Several years of piss poor drafting has caught up to them.

Pretty much none of your post is true, though the part about next year is TBD.
