The Tom Brady rumor thread

TB12 "at peace" with leaving the Patriots..

Pats have been operating under the assumption that the market for him is thin, which is turning out to be right.
Don Yee may end up with egg on his face.

So the Titans have taken themselves out of contention until at least 2026. Any other good news?
I guess this means that Brady wasn't bashing out contract terms with Vrabel via Facetime?

Sounds like SF is the only contender team he could go to. The others are all crappy teams.

Other than that Tampa Bay sucks, there was a pretty compelling discussion that they’re a strong team if they add Brady. Have a lot of skill position studs and a really good defense that just appears bad because of Winston’s 30 INTs.

Will brady take the money and go to a non contender? Is he gonna wanna play in the same division as mahomey?

Not happening even though i feel it would be a good fit. Jimmy G would be asking for a trade if that happens.

Now is the time to tell Brady "we will offer you 2 years, 30 million fully guaranteed. We'd love to have you finish your career here, but $15 mil/season is what we can afford to both keep you AND improve the offense, which surely you want also?".

The SF rumor really has not been substantiated by anyone within the SF organization AFAIK. They have a long term deal with JG and they are really not in the market for a QB.

Tannehill just got about $30m per year, Brees is expected to get about $25m again, and you want to only offer $15m to Brady? Why don't you also insist on ripping his balls off, and putting them on display with the Lombardis?

Here is a wild card thought, I once heard Jerrah say that he would write any size check to win another SB. Dak is wanting stupid money, what if Jerrah offers Brady stupid money? They have a tremendous o line, Elliott ,
Whitten, and hopefully they could resign Cooper. Dallas cold franchise Prescott, and then remove the tag once they sign Brady. Or not tag Dak at all and franchise Cooper.

We are short on cap space and he wants a team around him. He might as well go to the raiders or chargers and compete with mahomes if he wants money.

Feel really good now that the 30 percent rule is out. You’d think both sides can work this out now if there are two willing parties.

As I have demonstrated on multiple occasions, they have the money available, with the combination of immediately free and post-restructure/cut money.

Supposedly it's us and Tampa...

Like Giardi said a few weeks ago, there isn't a ton of interest in him like he thought there would be.

If he would rather play in Tampa, not much I can really say about that besides "Good Luck". That would be the ultimate Emmitt Smith on the Cardinals situation.

It's good news that the Titans are out. I was worried about them. Personally, I thought I saw Tannehill's balls shrink in the AFCCG. He's a good regular season QB but I thought he Goffed in that game. It doesn't mean he can't play bigger in the future, but I would have concerns if I were Vrabel. & this is coming from a Tannehill fan. You'll find posts from me years ago saying he would be in the upper 3rd of QBs in this league.

I was fairly shocked to see him shrink in that game.

I really do believe that Brady would have taken the Titans to the Super Bowl if he were on that team.

Tampa is a lot better than Arizona was and its not even close. But yeah, I just can’t see Brady taking that team past the first round even with the receivers in place.
