Report: Patriots re-sign Matthew Slater to a two-year contract

Bill will sign Ebner for 3 yrs 12 million next..Bills special teams were SO GOOD that when he relied on them to block a punt w/o a returner, they failed miserably every time...but yeah, that blocked punt and TD vs buffalo in September was so awesome...

...though I understood it to mean 0 fumble recoveries anyway.

So if all of Slater, Bethel & Terry Brooks (who feckin SUCKS at Safety, BTW) are returning in 2020, do we really need Ebner (at even a dollar above vet minimum) here too?

Why not simply ask whether we should sign any special teamer at a dollar over vet minimum? That is your real question and position isn't it?

Slater was drafted the same year as Jerod Mayo and Kevin O'Connel, both whom are coaches now.
