OT: Gronk to WWE

Gronk's move does not surprise me at all...

Thought from the onset that his ship had sailed, despite a ton of disbelief and hope among many fans and media...

Not sure if they test or not at WWE, but Gronk has been pushing CBD and that knowledge and probable use, would probably prohibit him from passing the NFL's mandatory testing and archaic drug policy...

Gronks flimsy back will never hold up.

Mojo has talked him into it.

Tell him to read, "Have A Nice Day" by Mick Foley.

Let's get ready to ...

This is a more reasonable outcome for Gronk than him returning to the Patriots... It's a damn shame

It is starting to get kind of sad how desperate he is to remain in the public eye...

Pro wrestling can involve quite a bit of athleticism. Yes, it is fake in the sense that the outcomes are pre-determined, but some of these guys are doing real stunts out there. I expect anything Gronk does to be WWE-lite.

Isn't WWE fake though?
Yes but wrestlers still get injured and because of it must still deal with long-term health issues.

Just like fmr NFL players.

Hope I’m wrong here but this has the makings of being unsuccessful. While Rob is funny with his antics and social media, not sure how he will do on the spot in the WWE. Look at all of the most popular WWE guys:

The Rock
Austin
Punk
Flair
Cena
Triple H
Michaels

All those guys were very smooth talkers and entertainers. I watched Gronks live broadcast and it was a little rough. That is a crucial skill to be successful. Rob will be the darling for a year or so, but if he struggles with that aspect he will fizzle out.

If it's what he wants to do with his life, then who are any of us to judge?

He doesn't owe anything to anyone - not the fans, not the Patriots, not Belichick or Brady.

It's probably a better use of his skillset than saying "this tight end reminds me a lot of myself" a few times a week.

How dare you leave out my man Mark Calaway AKA "The Undertaker".

The more i see the post football gronk the more I shudder. A 30 year frat boy is a bad look that will only get worse as time goes on.

He had a cushy job with Fox as an analyst. Not sure why he wants to go to the WWE with his spine as flimsy as it is. Those guys live their lives in a world of pain and the schedule is brutal.

Agreed. And while he is among the best TE’s ever, I am still waiting to see something else he’s good at.

Spot on.

This news makes me sad.

I had him in my thoughts, but he wasn't much of a talker. But when he did it was classic. Should have included him. Still can't get over the fact that when I was younger I really thought him and Kane were brothers.:D
