I hope that’s not you dude.

Are you the one that used to the shirtless BB avatar? That was painful.

There. Now nobody can see my body.

Yep. The BB shirtless photo with Linda. I got rid of it.

I never like the Pats to lose, so I was not happy. But I got over it a lot faster than the epic losses in SB's. The next day I more or less said to myself, "They didn't have it. Better to lose to a friendly rival than an a-hole team like the Ravens." Felt great when they eliminated the "MVP" the next week.

I got over it way faster than I will if we replace Tom Brady with Andy ****ing dalton. Just sayin

Spoiled motherforkers, all of us, that this is even a serious question.

Regards,
Chris

I got over the wild card game during the previous week’s loss to the Dolphins, and if I’m being totally honest, maybe even sooner.

Just as the question poses. And how long did it tske you to get over the loss? If at all. Lastly, how does this loss compare to other postseason losses? Personally, it took me about three days.
You need a life dude ...

i’m more bothered by the 2005 loss at Denver that ended Brady’s perfect playoff record then I am with what happened 2 months ago.

The image of Willie McGinest shoving aside Larry Izzo in the final moments of frustration was obviously seared in my mind.

Watching the hot mess that was the Pats 2019 offense late season downsized my expectations.
MIA loss was a shocker because I expected far more of what i'd thought was a special D.
Made being pounded on the run by the Tits less of a surprise although beforehand I thought we could win that game. Had no faith we'd go further if we'd won.
Loved the Tits destroying the legend in their own mind Dirty Birds.

Thought my man JAG was gonna win the SB but SF offense then their defense wilted under SB pressure.

No bye, we die. Our division is better than the media gives it credit and when we struggle against them late in the season it is a big red flag.

I’m more bothered by SB52 than I am what happens vs Tennessee.

It isn't.
That doesn't mean we aren't 'spoiled motherforkers' though because we certainly are. No doubt the phenomenal run we've been fortunate enough to enjoy continues to bother the OP.

I was over it three minutes after the game. After twenty years of unbelievable excellence and unfathomable moments I was fine. But I'll admit that Tennessee's win made things a little sweeter.

I was over it before the game was over. Hell, I was over it during the final drive of the Miami game. After that game I knew they were going to either be one-and-done or at best would lose in the divisional.

I was over it ten minutes after the game ended.

It was clear they weren't winning the championship.

In past year's the sting from the losses has lingered into the offseason as you continuously tell yourself 'if only this play went differently or that one'.

They were FAR from a championship team this year.

After losing even 3 of their final 4 home games how could anyone look back at the team and think they could have won?

There are two - and Only two - PO losses which I have completely "gotten over":
2009 WC vs the Murderers, and 2013 AFCC at Denver, for reasons that should be obvious...

While I was over it rather quickly one what if is the matchup vs the superbowl champion Chiefs in the division round. I recognize:

  • the offense likely wasn't good enough
  • beating them on the road again was unlikely
  • beating them with a bye week was unlikely
Regardless of what you thought of the 2019 defense it was built for the Chiefs. Elite CB play across the board with an average front seven that their run game likely wouldn't have taken advantage of. The pats managed to hold them in the regular season to 4.9 yards per play & 23 points. No other defense came close to that performance when they had Hill, Kelce & Watkins all playing.

Karras was also out the first matchup & Ferentz got destroyed by Jones. That would have made a difference offensively.

Regardless, the odds this team would have won 4 games in a row is slim. I do think they matchup well with the Chiefs & that game could've been interesting.

I agree the defense was built for the Chiefs, but losing Jason McCourty changed the secondary a lot, and they weren’t nearly as good down the stretch. Gilmore was also playing at a mere all-pro level and not super-alien level for the last month of the season. At Arrowhead, I think them getting blown out is a pretty likely result. That offense would have eventually caused the defense to defend too many short fields against Mahomes.
