Rumor from a friend in the know...

We know a lot about Kessler out here in NE Ohio. Please no.

the slander I am receiving from this thread makes me want the to close it. I said in the beginning that if you don’t believe my sources then please don’t bother and continue to get duped

Now it’s sources? Dude...

Now it’s sources? Dude...

hanging by every word. Lol.

It was spelled out early on. I am perfectly fine if this thread gets deleted. All I will finish with is the Pats fan base has a huge lack of respect for the past 20 years and what has been done. The fact that people want to shove Brady out of the door is preposterous.
I look forward to 2 more years of Brady and hopefully a 3rd.

Are there really that many posters here who want to do that? So far, I think we’ve only seen two.

In terms of sharing any inside info, most of us are appreciative, but it’s understandable that some are hesitant.

Do you think that it’s fair to blame Kessler for the Browns failures in 2016? He completed 65% of his passes for 6 TDs and 2 INTs.

he was with us for most of last year. What did bb see in him that we missed!
He was chosen in the 3rd round of the draft, and he has 12 games of NFL starting experience, so he’s probably not that bad of an option to have in terms of third string practice squad QBs.

Same reason the Packers drafted Rodgers in the first round with Favre still under contract. Brady, if he even comes back, would only be a short term bandaid to the QB position. No way he can be counted on more than 2 years, and you need to have someone to turn the reigns over to. If there is "that guy" in the 1st round this year when we pick then you absolutely have to take them even if they sit behind Brady for 2 years. That is actually the most ideal scenario that could possibly happen, short of Stidham turning into a HoFer

The suitation in GB was a different as Favre's back-up was 36 year old Doug Pederson not a young QB like Stidham.

Oh no please don't close this thread, what will we do without the rumors your brother's dogsitter's aunt's best friend's dad's golfing buddy heard, one of which turned out to be patently false?

What you're not factoring in is that you aren't the first to approach the board with "inside info." It's just human nature to have a tongue-in-cheek reaction.

At this point in negotiations (or non-negotiations), think about what your "sources" are providing: either (a) purposeful leaks to manipulate public sentiment, or (b) whatever seemed like it might be true.

If they have photos of signed documents, that's a data point (pending verification.) But beyond that?

Especially in the case of a BB, he considers any quantum of information to have distinct value, from all indications. If there is anything on the line, his past behavior supports the notion that he will not give away information for free, because information is inherently a thing of value.

If Brady's camp behaves differently, for reasons other that manipulation of fan sentiment, I have not seen it. They went so far as to participate in a mind-**** ad during the Super Bowl. I believe some product was involved too ha ha (Hulu)... but the subject was clearly TFB's return, and fan manipulation was the game. He's certainly not above it, even if "just for fun."

I'm not playing the "My insider source says..." game. I've seen it too often. You're probably seeing a lot of people who've also seen it too often.

In the end, there's only one thing that matters until the document's signed -- it is not yet signed.

There's only one thing that matters once it is signed... it is signed.

Tantalizing as it is to have an oracle declare that so-and-so thinks such-and-such, the cat is both alive and dead until the box is opened (I know, I'm no fun.)

Yeah, nothing means anything until the contract signed, but I love me rumors anyway.....beats reading about how Brady is over the hill and we should be rebuilding....

I’m sensing skepticism from you on this.

Mike Reiss, who is as well informed as anyone, says that he doesn't think anyone knows except Tom and Belichick (and maybe they don't, because they don't know what the other one thinks).

I suppose it's logically possible that the Krafts know something reliable and that they would let it out it in social surroundings after a couple of drinks. But you can't blame people for doubting.

I just took my "source" out for a walk, my terrific 4 1/2 year old dog.

I dropped two treats on the floor in front of him when we got back. The one on the right was "Brady stays," the one on the left was "Brady goes."

My source went for the one on the right. So, "Brady stays." End of discussion.
you know damn well your source ate both treats

Why would anyone believe “ your sources” when we have no idea who you or they are? Anonymous “ sources” on the internet have zero credibility.

I'll give you a chance to prove everyone wrong, man.

Dude I don't know if you have a source or not. Don't care.
But what he's saying is not earth-shattering. The biggest shock would be TB NOT playing for NE this year. There's a reason Vegas odds are still heavily in favor of him staying in NE.
Doesn't take a genius to see that it's in the best interests of Tom and the Pats.
But why would you get all hissy because people here mock your "source"?
Nobody knows you. This a very knowledgeable board. Your reaction makes me doubt your story. If it was real, you'd realize you haven't built up any credibility here and you'd just laugh
along with everyone else.

Sorry but only the Mods can close it.

And the day you posted this nonsense, I knew you were just trolling for “likes” which you initially got. It’s now backfired because people are realizing nobody knows what TB will do. You’re telling us that your imaginary friend knows, but celebrities and die hard Pats fans like Mark Wahlberg, Ben Affleck or Matt Damon can’t get an answer from TB on what he’ll do? And trusted reporters have no idea what he’ll do. This why you’re getting dragged through the mud.

As I initially said when I dismissed your attention seeking post, TB does not have a deal in place with the Pats. He’d be a moron to enter FA for the first time in 20 years yet re-sign before seeing what he’s worth on the open market.

Oh no. This thread isn’t going anywhere. You are either gonna save face and be “I told you so.” Or you are going down with the Titanic.
