Wirfs was probably my highest prospect on my PTP board (should have it out by tomorrow) and I'm still listing him but chances are slim he falls. I never thought Wynn would be there or many others so who knows. Wynn and Wirfs would be an outstanding combo for years to come. Fortunately there are about 5-7 other really nice prospects to pick from after Rd1.

Alabama’s Henry Ruggs III
4.28 speed !

He would be our Tyreek Hill, minus the domestic violence.

PS - he can catch the ball too!

Said it before but if there is no one available - worth taking at 23. Following teams plus Miami have multiple 2nd's.
  • I'm hoping Cinci calls more than anyone. I'm looking for a 2021 1st but they have 33 & 65. We could easily trade up into the 2nd again if we wanted and would still have at least one 3rd.

  • Indy has 34 & 44. Man I'd love to have those in my pocket. Especially in this draft. Big time value. You're still in the heavy talent pool and have two shots at it!
  • ATL 47 & 55. Two top 55 picks.
  • Chicago 43 & 50

Oh Ruggs is much more than speed. He's a sweet prospect you don't have to over think (analytics community)

25% of his rec went for TDs. Just turned 21 a month ago. Unbelievable all around athlete. Can almost kiss a basketball rim and was a big shot track athlete.

Speed is legit but he has great acceleration & a real 2nd gear.

Praying, by some odd events, he doesn't land in KC, Balt, Hou.

Supposedly Den loves him?

Detroit has 34 and 75 I think!

Can someone name recent all pro players who were combine stars ? I'm a skeptic when it comes to 40 yard dash translating into anything.

In the case of Detroit, they need defense bad. They could really use a corner, d line help, and a pass rusher.

they could take a corner or defensive tackle at 3, then we offer them a second bite at the Apple at 23.

Yep Denver and especially Philly need speed at WR.

The 40 yard dash was an idea by Gil Brandt and it was originally designed for special teams of all things. 4.30 was the magic number because that was a split second faster than the average hang time on kickoffs/punts of 4.40. So basically it was used to identify players who could get down the field in a hurry and make that big hit or coverage.

Don’t think it was ever originally intended to be used for all these other positions but it sure is the case. It’s fun to watch but it’s always been about playing speed.

I really like Donovan Peoples-Jones and he had a bonkers combine. I'm with BGC on trading back, I'd prefer two 2nds over a 1st in this draft.

I also... think Jordan Love might be really good, depending on where he ends up. I'd draft him over any of the quarterbacks from last year. (But that's also true of Burrow, Tua, and maybe even Herbert.)

Literally been saying Baun is a KVN replacement all year.

Some others ...

I think Bill would have Chaisson as a Collins replacement?

Queen is definitely on my list. Maybe if Roberts goes?

Jennings too, maybe a HT replacement on the chart.

Dugger and Winfield for Chung

Madubuike and Blacklock for Butler

Fotu for Shelton

Wirfs for Cannon

Hennessey for Andrews ... Thuney?

Ruiz for Thuney

I could not agree more with this, if kinlaw or Espinosa falls to 23, we spring the card up and praise the lord for our good fortune.

otherwise we trade back.

I only have 16 guys with first round grades in this draft. But the difference between players ranked 17 to 105, is minimal.

Seeing lots of fast LB’s. I would love to start transitioning over to some of the smaller speedier Linebackers.

that strategy could cost us in run defense which would drive bb nuts.
