The Tom Brady rumor thread

“Not looking good.” With three weeks left before free agency and only maybe a few hours needed to figure things out once they start talking, that’s excessive to the point where it only comes from an agent trying to start talks now.

I hope he stays but what guarantees can Belichick make within the next few weeks about surrounding him with talent before free agency starts? And even if they sign Brady there's not much salary cap room to work with.

So does that mean Tennessee will have a Tannehill/Brady combo?
To make the dollars work wouldn't it have to be one or the other? Both will want 25M+

And that is the problem, Brady may want to finally get paid after being underpaid for years (yes I know how much he and his wife are worth and they would not need money for they lived to be 5000 years old) so it may be a respect thing at this point.

Brady takes 30m a year for example the D gets worse and the offense will stay the same. My guess is Brady want to go somewhere with a decent D and a place where he doesn't have to watch Sanu drop passes or watch Harry, Mayers and Dorsett run the wrong route 10 times a game.

BB does not want him here. He's to old. Brady should have retired. A little disgusted by how he's been treated. But I accept it. It is what it is. Thanks for the memories Brady.

If Bill wants to try and win one without Tom he has earned that right.

How much do you guys wanna bet somebody invents a Tom to the Rams rumor?

19 more days......(yawn)

Yep. His outstanding record as a head coach prior to the first quarter pole of the 2001 season should lead anyone to believe that he can certainly win one without Brady.

Although I would love to bury my head in the sand and claim that Brady is still coming back it seems to look less and less likely. Reading the tea leaves over the last 9 months it all adds up. Little things that on their own don't mean much but when combined with many other little things it starts to form a pattern. From the contract last August that was essentially a one and done years-wise, Brady putting his house on the market, to all the leaked reports that there is a chance he leaves and wants better talent/money.

I would love for Brady to be back and I want no part of seeing him in another uniform but as time goes on I am thinking it's less and less likely he is back. I would love to be wrong.

Hearing he may go the Rams. Makes sense. Gisele is Cuban or something.
