Brady Negotiations to Begin at Combine (Merged)

The only team outside of the Pats that seems to have its act together with a viable roster, good HC and winnable division is Tennessee. I would be surprised if they moved off of Tanny but that team would be great for Tom and he would get a lot of love from Vrabel. The only issue and its a big one is can Tennessee navigate all the adversity that comes with an NFL season should Henry tear his ACL in week one or the kicker has a bum hip like we saw with Ghost this year? Or the center goes down with blood clots in TC? I am not sure any team really has the capacity to handle adversity like the Pats do every single year. I would think that is weighing heavily on Tom. He needs the right team AND everything to go smooth to really have a chance at another ring.

I think a deal gets done next week to return to the Patriots.

Tampa Bay have everything Brady needs plus a Good Drat position Brady should likey likey.

The myth of Bruce Arians has faded more each year he has been a head coach.

They need to get it done before he hits FA...too much uncertainty the longer this lasts.

Their run in towards the end of last year was a monster outlier, with red zone TD percentage over 90%. I would never rely on a dominant running game to be consistent from one season to the next.

Buffalo has a top defense, $90M in cap room, a terrible quarterback, and a division that is very winnable if Brady switches teams. Buffalo’s defense will remain elite as long as Tre’Davious White stays healthy, which is likely. I still think Buffalo and Indianapolis are the two best fits from a football perspective. I personally don’t see it with Tennessee, LAC, or LV, though LV could be tempting due to the excitement of moving to a new city like that.

He is so overrated. I can’t stand him. Throws players under the bus to the media.

This dovetails perfectly with the Albert Breer report stating that neither the Patriots or Brady have closed the door on negotiations... Thats some reporting!

AND Thats one big PHEW

I think a deal gets done next week. It’ll help if Brees gets his deal soon (I think they’ll wait for the CBA to be completed).

Oh @Biffins ... here you go kid, you earned it...

Agree. Brady re-signs with Patriots. Several dozen board members shamefully walk back their anti-Brady tirades. Several members of the Underground Brady Resistance (Founded: 2001) go back into hiding for a few more years.

Tenn was more than just a run team once Tanny became the QB. I think with Tom you get a big upgrade and can tweak the offense to be more short/intermediate with the skill players they have. I also think Vrabel gets it as a HC which is rare.

I don't like Buffalo as I think their record was largely a mirage based on the soft schedule. I do like their coach but there is no way they move off of Allen anyways. I also think facing the Pats twice makes the division tough as Bill will find a competent QB and if anyone knows how to stop Tom, it is Bill.

I find Indy intriguing. I just don't understand why Ballard will not spent at all in FA. That is my only concern with them. Their offense is not great at all except for their Oline. Their defense is pretty good but could use a boost with some FAs. Also, why on earth they stuck with Vinny last year is a head scratcher. He cost them games. That is where I think Ballard is suspect.

Perhaps this whole thing was orchestrated by Brady and the Pats just to mess with people? Never underestimate Bill and his love for messing with the media.

Yes, Buffalo greatly benefitted from a soft schedule last year, but they would be steamrolling those teams with a competent QB. I think they fall to 7 or less wins if they’re stubborn enough to keep Allen next year. IMO, he is the worst “franchise QB” in the NFL.

Why Bills fans shouldn’t let themselves get too excited about Josh Allen

Im on record that the 2 mutually part ways.
Of course they will meet with him and they will talk but unless Kraft grows brass balls over night he will cede to BB spreading the money throughout the roster.

Guregian: “The feeling is it might be a starting point for real dialogue about a contract.”

Again, fake reporting using “the feeling is” instead of a source. Pathetic media smoke and mirrors continue.

Pet Peeve alert!

Obvious editorializing isn't fake news.

hope this means he's back.

Could be to pick up Bradys last paycheck. Indy is about halfway good spot to meet as any.
