We have THE hardest strength of schedule next year!

Yep. It changes year to year though. Sometimes it looks hard on paper and ends up teams falling off, other times it looks like a cake walk and teams end up playing well. I try not to read too much into it.

It really is all about how each team is playing week to week leading up to the game. One team can catch fire at the beginning of the year and really fall apart on the back half. Or, the other way around.

Every year of late the Pats are said (in headlines) to have the easiest schedule and everyone is supposed MOAN. But that never made any sense because the Jets, Bills, and Phins had the same schedule except for one lesser opponent in the AFC. Next year, with these tough road games, our schedule may well be the hardest--and just judging from the outline, I ain't going to be predicting no 13-3 season. No way. (esp after last season's 2nd half)

No wonder that bastard Brady is looking to jump ship... Things get tough and he splits... Yeesh

Jets, Bills, and Phins play us twice.

Not that much different than the 2019 season with the exception of playing the SB loser,

Bills x 2
Chiefs
Texans
Eagles
Ravens

All made the post season.

If we make 12-4 or 11-5 the mediots will say it was one of the easiest schedules

Not sure the fist 10 cakewalk games of the 2019 schedule helped the team much beyond making for a good looking record at the end. Probably didn't need "boogeymen" t-shirts after beating up the Luke Faulks of the world week after week. Maybe some more urgency dealing with the inadequate offense would've happened if things didn't look so rosy early in the season against bad competition.

(please feel free to repost this next November when the Pats are 5-5 and trailing in the division. i'm sure my internet tune could change.)

When it's February I never pay any attention to how hard the schedule is.

I do in Oct, Nov and Dec though.

1. Let Tom walk
2. Trade everybody
3. Go 0-16
4. Draft Trevor Lawrence
5. ???
6. Profit

Is it how I am supposed to react?

I think it's significant. Having seven of 16 games vs. playoff teams from the previous season might be unprecedented for the Patriots. Along with the travel this schedule is nothing short of brutal.

16-0...or maybe 17-0?

This was discussed in another thread. Preseason SOS doesn’t count for much. Last year’s top 3 preseason SOS teams finished the season averaging out to 17.67, which is basically middle of the road.

Is there any site that lists SOS after the season-in-question is over? I can never find this info.

Am hoping the Pats have some back to back West Coast games so they can stay on the road as they did a few years ago and reduce travel miles. Schedule certainly looks challenging on paper at this point in time.

Whoever came up with this saying wasn’t aware of HIV, multiple sclerosis, and a host of other progressively debilitating diseases. In addition, grief and trauma do not make a person stronger overall.
