The $2M Solution At WR

I don’t think Michel has much trade value. RBs are a dime a dozen in the NFL.

Tampa probably wouldn’t want to trade Evans but if they did it would be for a lot of draft capital. 1 and a 3 this year and a 2nd next.

One and three this year this Draft and a 2 nd next for a proven All Pro type wide receiver who's only 26 and has a three year contract that is going down every year?
Yes Please.
Where do we sign up?

Their #1 guy now is Godwin and they have resurrected Perriman (hmmm....Pats?). This opens up the CAP door to resign those two.

Maybe the temptation would be 1+3 in 2020 Draft plus 2nd in 2021 for both Evans and Howard? We are talking impact player plus perhaps a reclamation project that BB likes in Howard.

Cousin, you think Brady would be impressed if BB Drafts a WR in round one or in the third? Nyet!

I have a blockbuster trade in mind that helps both Teams. The Bucs are at $79mm CAP space in 2020 with no QB in place. They need to continue the build under BA. My suggestions would be a "two-fer" .

Mike Evans has become the #2 WR in Tampa Bay. Chris Godwin had more catches and made the Pro Bowl.

Evans contract matches OBJ this year ($16.75mm) but goes down the next two (3 year contract in place). O.J. Howard is in the dog house and under his last year of contract there.

The Pats might have to spend $10mm for a Robbie Anderson or a Cobb or more$ !

Trade in this case works better.

Is our first rounder a good price to pay for Evans (who had twice the TDs as OBJ in 2019) and you recall the Rams gave us a first for Cooks who was good but not Evans?

I would propose Evans and Howard for our 1st and Sony Michel.
Ronald Jones was their RB in 2019 and not the greatest. Michel had more yards. But we drafted Harris who was a bell cow at Alabama. He should know the McDaniels system by now.

If you're going to try offering trades to opponents, you have to offer trades that they might actually take. In what alternate universe would the Bucs make that deal? Also, Evan's 2020 money number, post-trade, would be

$16.75m

So the cap money for Evans would be higher than for OBJ, this year ($14.25m).

Perhaps. Look at the next two years. Cheap money and he's only 26.

The next two years aren't the important years. There will be plenty of money on the books for plenty of needed moves starting in 2021. The 2020 season is the one that has so many here crying about cap space. And Beckham's only 27 (11/5/92), which is less than a year older than Evans (8/21/93). Both receivers came from the 2014 draft.

I don't know about this one. OBJ has that diva thing still. Evans does not. Evans is younger and like this year double the TDs of OBJ. The financials are close.

Let's be real. We are better off just hoping Edelman and Sanu are healthy and the Harry continues to develop. Maybe make one free agency play and draft a TE in the draft. We got burned because we made gambles on two guys with severe issues

Because posters here want him.
I’d love Cooper Kupp but I don’t know why they’d trade him.

He’s a free agent after this year they have no money to pay him they have high paid players that they can’t cut for a while. Goff, Donald, Gurley and Cooks can’t be cut for 3-4 years and there all high paid players. They just traded two 1sts for Ramsey and he’s gonna be the highest paid CB after this season 15mill per is the highest CB right now. Are you guys expecting them to afford Kupp while paying those guys it’s next to impossible unless they don’t want any good players anywhere else on the field.

The point of that article which I agree with is to get a 1st and 3rd for a player you most likely will lose next year. They have Cooks/Woods at WR it’s not like they don’t have any weapons this is also a team that doesn’t have a 1st round pick for 2 years.

They would save around $5 mill to cut Gurley who looks like he’s close to done. They can release Woods after this upcoming season and they save about $8 million on the cap. For Cooks they also have potential out clause at the end of the upcoming season and with his concussion issues I’d assume he’s gone. They have a lot of high salaries but as always with the cap there are ways to manipulate the numbers. Kupp has been their most consistent offensive weapon and is the safety valve for a QB they (not so wisely) dumped a ton of money into. I would love for Kupp to end up in a Patriot uniform but they’d be fools to get rid of him to keep some of the other bloated salaries they have.

Its a deep WR draft.

Rookie WRs play on the cheap. Its just a matter of finding 2 guys who are not BUSTs. I dont want to go into another season hoping that Harry is the answer. I hated the pick from the beginning and Harry has proven to be big and slow like a plow horse. Size 15 shoes.

How about some fleet of foot quick get open players who are a threat after the catch?

Harry's shoe size is smaller than Gronk's.
