I love Cannon, but we need to get younger at RT...and FYI releasing him saves us about $5.5M, not 8.9M....

Excellent was hoping he wouldnt retire we need stability on the Oline with Dante retiring and Thuney likely gone. Wynn, Mason, Andrew's, Karras, Cannon that's a good line right there.

This guy has been wrong numerous times. Made up the rumor about the 90’s uniforms.

The way Cannon played last season he looked retired already.

He played injured all season but yeah, he's getting up there in age and has a lot of mileage on those tires that any injury will probably drag throughout the season if not IR.

It's more realistic the NEP rework his current deal to keep him and in the process free up cap space as opposed to cutting him outright.

In terms of retirement seems the rumors are false but sometimes athletes play this card if they are unhappy with their current deal. I recall a certain All-Pro TE doing this once.....

So do we have any players currently on the roster that would create a lot of cap space by being cut? Besides Sanu.
