I get what you are saying, but I'm not arguing percentages for the sake of percentages. I'm saying big comebacks happen way too often in the NFL for these percentages to be true. For example, the 28-3 comeback was not something that Tom Brady could only pull of once in 100 attempts. Hell, we've seen Brady have similar (near) comebacks vs San Fran in 2012 & vs Denver too. Both had much better defense. Were there anything even close to 99 losses in similar situations for Brady? Hell no. Same goes for all the other elite QBs in this era.
Those WP charts assume the teams aren’t coached by idiots. NE does not win SB51 if Shanahan isn’t an idiot. If he has Ryan take the play clock down to 5 every down, does some more running, plays for the FG after the Jones catch of insanity, Atlanta easily, comfortably wins that game. I see no reason at all to doubt that SB51 99.x% figure.

Think it’s important to acknowledge the massive boost the Chiefs got this season thanks to Jerome Bogar. Would it have mattered in the end? Probably not. Patriots screwed themselves the next week, but you just never know if winning that game could have changed everything.

Yeah I was trying to play it out. It's Chiefs Titans in round 1, let's give that to the Chiefs since they beat them IRL. Let's say Ravens beat Houston for the sake of argument. Now it's Pats - Chiefs and the winner plays Baltimore. Definitely a different path for KC if Harry had been given that TD and we had taken care of business after that.

The Pats defense was more built to stop a KC offense. Probably would have despite those two horseshit calls.

Not sure they would of stopped the 9ers running attack had they been in this game. Then again, with two weeks to prepare BB may have come up with something.

Give the chefs credit for limiting the 9ers running game. Their defense came through tonight.

Curious to see what happens with emmanuel sanders. He can still play but he’s not getting any younger. I don’t know if a team would give him a multi year deal. Maybe.

So the chefs have been installed as favorites next year as well. They really mahomey to be the next great one .

Anything can happen injuries, key players leaving, their division opponents getting better etc.

Overall the game was decent I'd rate it around a solid 7 out of 10. Had its moments but never really gave us that OMG moment

So what was more controversial?
The refs?
The stripper pole and genitalia grabbing? :D

That game was a 1 out of 10. You knew who the league wanted to win. That makes it pretty worthless. Mahomes as MVP? 2 picks? Yeah okay.

let the NFL hype machine commence. Too late to put him in the top 100 of all time?

N’Keal Harry was still in bounds. :)

I've never used the word myself for any reason (aside from maybe referencing a dog). But why would it automatically be considered racist?

I’m really not sure? I’m open to hearing explanations and changing my mind on it.

not sure what hurt more, Seeing Indy win it all in 2006, seeing Denver win it all in 2015 or seeing KC win it all now.

The difference between these 3 teams is that the Patriots beat that same team last season, and went to the Super Bowl and won it all.

Brady with a better supporting cast would've beat both teams.

pass was uncatchable but the 9er defender DID face guard him...I didn't mind the call, I just couldn't stand the hold after hold the KC offense got away with in the 4th quarter.

If it was uncatchable, then it shouldn't have been called. Also, face guarding isn't DPI and hasn't been for over a decade.. if not more.

wait mahomes got mvp, with 2 picks and a fumble?

The bar most have been REAL low this time.

Mahomes being MVP is pretty insulting to Damien Williams based on the highlights I saw..

he made bodily contact with him though, DaB..with his back to the play. The ball was well short however. I think it was one of those "everyone's watching me in this Super Bowl" ref calls. Shanahan could've thrown his red flag, right?
