49ers might need a few more challenges at this rate. A lot of calls going in one direction.

Commercial kills me ... who is happy about sh!tting?

Bad challenge. That play will stand.

That was not a catch, the ground brought it back into his chest

Has anyone checked in on Chiefsplanet? Worried about those guys....

That was a good challenge, its huge too now itll be 3rd and 15

Mahomes throws up a prayer

How the hell does he get that wide open

Of ****ing course. Mahomes sucks without the broken plays

I am very curious how things will go for them once he is paid. Like a quarter of their cap will just be him.

This is always a bit overdetermined. Didn't wreck the Seahawks, even though everyone attributed their success to Wilson's cost. For one thing, Mahomes' contract is going to come the year before a new CBA that probably increases the cap significantly. Second, a quarterback contract that looks absurd one year quickly becomes a deal if a guy continues to play at a high level due to cap inflation. Matt Stafford's record deal is only 10th in the league right now and has a couple years left, Matt Ryan's record deal is 5th in the league just a couple years later going into this season's free agency. An outrageous overpayment becomes a steal eventually. Stephon Gilmore has the best contract in the league!

Economically, the cap values of other positions, even at the high end, presuppose some X% of the cap being spent on a quarterback. There's some value to having a cheap quarterback, obviously, but that's all relative.

how can they let that happen

damn, just what SF didn't want
