$30m for Brady as per Rap

Two other observations, by the way:

The holes the Chargers have to fix (on offense) are cheaper than New England's. They've got the glamor spots and need to fix their OL.

And, if he still thinks he's on top, Brady has to believe that he could get back with the Chargers. They have a lot of talent.

Hate to say it, particularly out loud, but to keep Brady (if the weapons' rumors are true), the Pats might have to re-sign AB - there's no one else that I see with that kind of talent that would excite him (maybe Manny Sanders?). BB and Kraft wouldn't much like that, if the guy is even cleared to play.

Then again, KC has four guys who have done as bad or worse than AB, and they're playing today.

Oh, and Kobe Bryant raped a woman and is heralded as a god-figure...

Sometimes, I just shake my head.

Sign me up for that....

I am OK with a 2 year extension for 60M....Brady's cap numbers would be 36.5 per year with the cap at ~180M, that is 20% of the cap.

A little rich for my tastes, but I want Brady to end his career as a Patriot.

This smells of a Kraft leak to preempt the “Kraft is cheap” argument when Brady leaves. No way they leak this if they are in negotiations.

I don't know how you could possibly expect the team and weapons to get better paying Brady $30m, looks like another fringe playoff team coming back next year if they pay Brady that.

They would be paying Brady for what he's done than what he's going to do, totally what bad teams do.

This is the most believable report yet. Brady has always taken less for one reason: competitive advantage. I’ve never bought into this market deal stuff, unless it’s because he’s furious at the Pats for not extending him. But otherwise, it makes no sense he would suddenly change and let’s assume cooler heads prevail.

He is a no nonsense, no excuses type of guy who doesn’t care much about what you’ve done but more about what you can do now, in terms of helping him win and compete for titles. In that sense he’s the perfect fit for the Patriots because he is just like them. So, he sees a depleted roster, not a lot of young talent or draft assets, and considering all the hometown discounts he’s giving them, he’d like some answers as to why things have turned sht on the offensive side of the ball.

Some of the issue seems to be with him, no doubt, in how his expectations of younger players is unrealistic. I also think it’s been 20 years and the EP offense might need another look. Is it really necessary to still run a system like this with all the built in advantages you have in the passing game? You need guys with dual PhDs in game theory and geometry to get open? Other teams seems to be doing just fine with “athletic freak” WRs. People will point to the Patriots success as an offense from 2010-17/18?, but having Gronkowski and Edelman have been the key. They have still struggled to develop and/or maximize new receivers outside of a few core guys. It sure helped having a Hall of Fame tight end and insanely talented receiver like Edelman.

Never wanted to be highest paid but joe he does at the end y’all believe anything man. Dude will be back but wants weapons common sense

With Tom they have never been higher than his hit consuming more than 16%

I've been saying for a long time: watch out for the Chargers. from THEIR perspective, the entire franchise could be turned around by a move for Brady. New England likes blue-collar teams that puke their guts out after leaving it all on the field.

LA likes stars. I know. I live here half the year...every night, the news is Kobe, still (unless there's a car chase). Chargers get Brady and they start selling season tickets, lots of them. Even if, from a football perspective, there was a better QB for them, Brady sells the seats.

Now, all the reports of the new house and looking for schools probably makes this less likely from BRADY'S perspective...but his TB12 dreams would be 10-times stronger in LA than New England. Notice which cheerleaders Gronk's dancing with...
Curran: There's no perfect landing spot for Brady
nick hardwick explains why the chargers makes no sense to him.
Also Mcginest said that Gisele doesnt LA , they had a home there which they sold.

I call bullsh1t on this clickbait. Where's the rap?

I expected a JZ track with a hook about "30 million problems but Izdik ain't one"

Wait, people would probably hear that wrong.

This is just media posturing. Throw out a news on SuperBowl sunday. See if someone reacts. Someone will deny brady wants this or someone will say we havent had talks like that. Just creating news.
If they wanted to pay 30 mil they wouldve done last yr itself.

As long as 10-15 of it is part of some post retirement promise, I’m all for it

Find me a better QB with a better chance of winning next year than Brady if you're gonna tell me you're letting brady walk before you pay him what hes worth.

Alot of people showing their true colors.

Yes but you also have to imagine a similar offensive group with a possibly weaker defense and Brady one to 2 years older.
That’s why myself like most Patriots fans are not excited about that scenario.
I didn’t like Toms attitude towards the young receivers this year missing OTAs definitely had a effect.
The sudden sulking and public outcry of the AB disaster.
This was a guy who already in his mind was counting his losses and opposed to his blessings.
McDaniels coached scared and not confident in his offense.
It seemed to get worse each week.
If Kraft is willing to field a weaker declining team to appease the strong majority of the fan base vs. Belichicks idea of team building I am not a fan of that what so ever.

It really pains me to say but I'm not sure Brady is worth that. Well, *he* is, but not if we don't have any cap space to get him help.

Unless you're going to give us a better option, I really cant see your point.

Hope story is true to see 75% of heads on this forum explode. :D:D:D
