If every player in the nfl who has been caught with MJ was done in the nfl, there would be a whole bunch fewer players in the nfl.
I do find it rather amusing that we had 100's of pages on Josh Gordon, and how it was a sickness and we should do everything possible to help him and he is a great guy. After he has been busted on multiple times for MJ use, along with other drug use. Then along comes Jojo, gets caught with a little weed, some pain pills, and some cold sore medicine, and people are ready to dump the loosers ass.

Because he was a CB drafted in the second round when the team had a desperate need at TE and no need at CB. I know it's not his fault he was drafted where he was but...I think that's the root of people's dislike for him.

Fantastic use of a draft pick BB! Pick the CB that you don't need in round 2 and meanwhile pass on all the other WRs who were better than "I'm not a bust YET" Harry, and also pass on any Tight Ends who could have been a safety blanket for Brady, and oh yeah pass on any OL who could have kept him upright this season.

Yup let's blow yet ANOTHER 2nd round pick on a bust defensive back, cos we didn't learn our lesson from guys like Duke Dawson, Cyrus Jones, Jordan Richards, and Ras-I Dowling just to name a few.

These are all great points, surprised they haven’t been made yet in this thread.

I'm just the opposite. I want to keep him, badly. My concern is the TN law that provides for 6 years of prison time for a first offense if caught with more than an ounce. If he is sentenced to anything like that, and spends the next three to four years in prison, he's done. Tragic.

I don’t know. Our CJ system is effed beyond belief, but people aren’t seriously getting sentenced to 6 years of hard prison time for having an ounce or two of weed, especially first offenders. I don’t think we have to worry about the possibility of any jail time.

Agree

Pick the CB that you don't need

Not speaking to the idea that a tight end or wide receiver might not have been a better choice, it very well might have been. But to say the patriots “don’t need” a cornerback isn’t really accurate. Teams are turned over every year pretty much, so having someone in the pipeline for a year who doesn’t contribute much is not a problem at all. Obviously, if he never pans out that’s a different story.

FTFY

Especially since he seems more likely to be destined for safety which is liable to be a somewhat more immediate need than CB.

I don’t believe that any first time offender actually needs legal representation to avoid a multi-year prison sentence for 30-60 grams of weed, let alone 6 years. Still, fair enough point.
