Rob Gronkowski Had Major Influence Over Showy Super Bowl LIV Tight Ends

Just read this article where he talks about how much Gronk influenced him (though their games aren’t similar.) And it got me thinking...something about the guy’s body language tends to come across as punkish, I’m sure he’s thrown a few dirty hits like everyone (including Edelman), and sure, he’s very overrated as a player since he’s really a big wide receiver who shouldn’t receive tight end accolades.

However, did I miss some huge incidents where this guy did some horrible things off the field? I’ve never heard him whine about the Patriots. In fact, I’ve only read on his comments extremely complimentary things about the the Patriots organization, and no excuses for losses. He didn’t gloat when they beat us or complain when they’ve lost.

I ask this because I see people say they hate the Chiefs because of “Hill and Kelce.” Aren’t these guys pretty darn different in terms of what they’ve actually done to become villains? Or am I missing something crucial here?

Probably because he comes off as an arrogant ass when he speaks.

Because he's a douche

Hes a dooshbag?

Because he is not OUR arrogant ass. Lol.

Because he is a douche.

credit to BobDigital who put it best a few years ago:

Steelers @ Chiefs Game thread

Gronk = Frat party drunk who gets super friendly and calls you in saying we are playing another game of beer pong and high fives everyone who makes a shot even if against him.

Kelce = Mean spirited frat drunk trying to pick up a girl then calls her a skank if she says no. Then breaks something in your apartment and you tell him to leave.

Because he is a Gronk wannabe ??? I don't know, but something about him rubs me the wrong way, call it irrational , just the way I feel .

Because he taunted Brady in January of 2016 and doesn’t play for the Patriots.

He is a type of a guy you do not know but you do not like. He has got arrogance written on his forehead.

Can't block but gets the same credit as a TE who does. Kittle is way better.

Inside the NFL tried to credit him last night as being fully capable of being the best blocking TE in football, but the Chiefs like to pass and don’t ask him to do that.
Such a ridiculous take... “oh he would definitely be the most dominant blocking TE, the same as he is a catching TE, the Chiefs just don’t ask him to!” Lol

Can't imagine where people get their perception of him as an arrogant ass...

Meanwhile, Jimmy Graham: "Man.... I'm so obscure now, Patriots fan don't even hate me for being a glorified WR...."

Another reason to dislike! Took the spotlight from Graham! ;)
