Ensures?
No.
However, Brady's presence, plus a normal off-season would make us strong favorites to be in the playoffs.
The OL line had plenty of non-scar reasons why it had issues. Losing David Andrews was a huge blow to this offense. So was losing Isaiah Wynn for the first half of the year.I thought Scar had a pretty awful year last year along with McD. Might be good for a change.

You're really going to move the goalposts on this? Already? Come on, man.
Of course. There might be 2-3 guys in the last 20 year's that are on par with Scar. The gap between him and 99.9% of other OL coaches is enormous.
*edit* no is giving years off their life for Jack or thinks of him as a close 2nd only to their father. Very important but Scar is a walking god.
Highly doubtful that his wife had to write her wishes for his return to retirement on a wall -- she probably just whispered in his ear. The man turns 72 next month after all.Dante sees the writing on the wall...

BB will be gone relatively soon, he's hanging on to ensure his sons' careers are established. I'm not sure I agree with those who believe he's after Shula's win record, but it's possible. As for "win now mode" in the way you're thinking of it, sometimes that's just not in the cards. That route with Brady likely is over....and Bill is 68 very soon. Which further suggests we should be re-signing Brady and trying to squeeze out one or two last runs at it even if we’re not the absolute favorite.
I feel like folks talk like Bill is easily going to coach for another decade, and it’s just not the case. I’ll reassert that we should be in a “win now” mode. I’m not saying do anything crazy... but we can’t be tossing 3rd round picks at red shirt RBs anymore.
I knew Dante would be gone sooner than later...I was in denial that it could come this soon. Congrats to him on a HoF career. Make this man a statue, Mr. Kraft.

I appreciate your optimism.I’ve said this before, but let’s say the Chiefs win on Sunday. That would mean we basically have 3 wins in a row vs the current SB champ. Yeah, I’m claiming a W due to that ridiculous officiating.
Despite all the struggles this year, we were still right there. I believe Brady still has gas left. I believe in Bill’s coaching. I believe Bill the GM is capable of a good draft. We weren’t that far away even with a whole heckuva lot that went wrong (injuries).
I appreciate your optimism.
The odds of TB12 staying were not helped by this development.
If this is true, I hope Dante enjoys his retirement. Also, if this is true, I look forward to watching the homers painting this as a good thing.
