Never forget..

True story. I went to TC at Foxboro stadium that year (can't remember why it wasn't @ Bryant College in Smithfield, RI that year)...The crowd was sparse...I kid you not...not more than 200 people tops and I am counting the football team. So I was there watching the QB's do a bucket drill. Bledsoe was maybe 20 feet away from me...Friesz and Bishop were waiting for their turn...and behind them all was Brady. I was 3 feet from Brady...separated by a single yellow rope about 3 feet from the ground...that is it. And I was ignoring Brady...LOL.
Brady remembered that moment of you ignoring him and it burned into his soul, motivating him to win six Super Bowls en route to the Hall of Fame.

You are welcome.

I too did not like the hire at all, I had a very good friend who was a Browns fan and told me that Bill would destroy the Pats like he did the Browns ( most Brown fans never forgave him for getting rid of Bernie Kosar ).

It took me a few years to warm up to him. Even after SB 36, I still wasn't convinced he or Brady were the long term answers !! I was furious when he got rid of Bledsoe that off season, I thought Brady was a one year wonder, LOL. I warmed up to Brady in the opening game of the 02 season when they beat Kordell and the Steelers at home after lifting their first banner !

That seems like eons ago and then I slowly started to appreciate Bill, and realised just how great he was after the 03 season . Now I love them both so much and can't imagine the team without either of them

Yeah...so about that...you might want to go off the grid for awhile.

Well....what ever happens I will still root for the Patriots, it will just be hard to see Brady in another uniform if it comes to that .:(

When the rumors of Kraft going after BB were popping up I was so dead set against it. I thought he was all Xs and Os and it was Tuna who drove the team to excellence with his charisma. It was the Giants talent on D that got him the CLE job. He kinda proved to me in CLE he was a good D coach but was not a complete coach who could make good decisions on QBs and draft picks and was going to suffocate the offense. I wanted Tom Donohoe. At the time the team was in cap hell and I wanted a GM who was good w the cap, good at drafting and a coach who was more "Northeastern" in attitude.

When BB was announced I remember talking to my boss at the time and saying, "Horrible hire".

So funny. Greatest coach of all-time and I thought he was nothing more than a lifetime coordinator.
You are the anti-Polian. ;)

Bill Polian has perfect 20-20 hindsight, told us that he wanted to draft Brady, and will probably tell us that he offered the Jets more for Belichick, since he knew BB would be great!

Polian is such an insecure a-hole.

Unless you are Biff Tannen there is nothing wrong in admitting you can't predict the future.

The thing that I could never figure out is the O'Connor, Mannix, Shank personal attacks on BB. Those were uncalled for and baseless.

At least you're consistent.

Not the first time someone intelligent, informed, insightful and earnest was mistaken in evaluating something.

We're human. Not perfect.

20 years ago the Bandwagon was non existent
Credit Bob for being determined - and smart.

Um, that doesn't include keeping f.e. and signing Bledsoe to the richest contract in history 18 months later...
