He clearly wants to be traded to the Titans.

2019 draft class getting better by the day!

Wow who would've thought that a DB in the 2nd round would be a bust. I mean a DB was urgently needed and everyone knows that BB has a legendary streak of picking one potential HOF DB in the 2nd round after another.

Wheatley, D. Butler, P. Chung, Tavon Wilson, Duke Dawson, Jordan Richards, Cyrus Jones

Ps: I know it's way too early to judge Williams but honestly look at that list. It's borderline comical

There's probably close to a couple dozen SB rings among the Pats 2nd round picks.

Do we even know what Williams had in the car? The charges mentioned didn't seem that serious.

I bet Kraft is hoping it will all blow over. ;)

Butler and Chung were played out of position which resulted in their poor play. Butler was a decent slot CB when he left and Chung excelled playing SS as apposed to FS in his initial stint in NE.

Butler's time in Indianapolis also gets overrated. As a speed guy on the carpet, he was able to play at the NFL level, as long as he wasn't picked on by opponents. As an overall player, he was a bust. He washed out of Carolina faster than he washed out of New England.

BB must be laughing his *** off when he picks these 2nd round CBs. He's arrogant enough to just troll us with his 2nd rounders because he can and still win the SB.

He was good enough to start with Indy and I saw a few occassions he made plays for them.
I'll never know why it didn't work out for him with BB

Lol so many receivers we could of drafted.
I need to know who is making these decisons for the draft.

I heard he got busted for doing 30 in a 55mph zone......:p

Because New England didn't run a Butler-favorable scheme, on the carpet, with Butler covering slot receivers and playing some safety to cover his weaknesses.

BILL PLEASE STOP DRAFTING SECOND ROUND CORNERBACKS, PLEASE

This. NE tried to make him into a eventual #1 CB and he failed miserably. See the 2010 playoff game vs the Jets. That was brutal.

I need to be reminded how Cassel & Faulk are linked.

(Yes, add my name to the frustrated posters re JoeJuan)

I think JoeJuan has natural abilities and you can't coach height not ready to give up on him.
TY LAW and Duron Harmon also got busted with drugs.

It's probably nothing (like Chung) but it gives this forum something to whine about.

So glad we drafted him over AJ Brown. Brilliant!
Yes, because we certainly couldn't have used a rookie wideout that had over 1,000 yards receiving for the year. A player like that wouldn't have made any difference at all for this squad.

I haven't seen anyone mention this on here, in any thread that pertained to our woeful drafting as of late. BB usually gets all the blame, and while I do think he has to shoulder some of it, why has no one called out our scouting department? This just occurred to me recently: surely we have paid scouts, I thought. And then, lo and behold, our head of college scouting interviewed for another position, confirming my suspicion that we had paid scouts.

Which brings me to my next question: what the hell are our scouts doing? More pertinently, after the last two years, why have they not all been told to hit the bricks and replaced with someone, anyone at all, else? The average Wal-Mart custodian could do no worse than our scouts have done the last two years.

For me, at least, it's because, as has been reported on numerous occasions:

  1. BB uses round 2 as his gamble round
  2. BB has, on more than one occasion, chosen to overrule his personnel staff a/k/a scouts & more, so we don't know for sure whether a particular pick is about the scouts or BB

He also has been known to listen to positional coaches over scouts. Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that. The draft is, by and large, a crapshoot.

I agree, anyone that gives up on a first year player isn’t really evaluating. He played behind Gilmore, Jackson, Jones and J McCourty. All great to good performers. He had a couple of rookie mistakes out there but didn’t do anything to hurt himself either. Definitely a wait and see who is gonna have his turn.
