Celtics 2019 / 2020

The team has been very inconsistent lately.

Not a good sign for tonight's game in Milwaukee.....at least we should have Tatum back...

Good win tonight by the Celtics against the Lakers!

It's always a great win beating the Lakers. But my confidence in this team is shaken. They have had so many stinkers lately. I've adjusted my expectations.

It was to be expected but what matters is how they bounce back and they have the past three games. Each win has been damn impressive. The Grizzlies were/are a hot team and the C's utterly destroyed them without Jaylen Brown. Tonight's win, IMO, was every bit as impressive. Missing two of their three best players and a key role player against a team that is competitive...on the road. You could easily argue that tonight was a top 5 win this season.

Tatum was out tonight but has been killing it recently. Happy with how things are trending.

But man when the Celtics turn up the defensive intensity they can be a force and they’ve had that the past few games.

I think the team was affected by Kobe's passing yesterday in New Orleans.

Big one tomorrow in Miami.....the Heat are 20-2 at home....

sounds like an excuse to me. the pelicans were out there playing under the same circumstances. The injuries affected them more than anything else.

For sure both team were affected with that tragedy but Tatum and Kanter's absence could have been a factor as well.

Either way....a HUGE one tonight.

The way I see it...we aren't catching the Bucks for the #1 seed with 37 games left and us being behind by 9 games in the loss column. We would need to do at least a 31-6 run to close out the season AND HOPE the Bucks finish 21-15. However, the #2 seed is very much in play....and the #2 seed means we could HOST one of Miami/Toronto/Philly/Indiana in round 2.

Ideally, grabbing the #2 seed and having Philly finish as the #4 seed would be perfect as I'd love to see Bucks/Sixers duel it out before the ECF!

The nonstop injuries are killing this team in the standings. And affecting home court and who they play come playoff time.

GREAT win. They've honestly been terrific recently with the exception of the Pelicans game which should be largely excused. It was clear that they were not dialed in that day, understandably. But it feels like this team is starting to get hot. Going into the All-Star break winning 6 of 7 would be very sweet.

Jayson Tatum is an All-Star. First of many. :)

They’re not going anywhere ..... stop smelling other people’s farts
They probably aren’t (at least yet) but they’re pretty damn far from that prediction.

And they're doing it the right way: with draft picks & trades for vets/draft rights, instead of buying their way with whores like Lebroni & Bosh etc.

They needed to build that way. They were cap strapped because of some bad contracts in the wake of LeBron leaving. They absolutely needed to nail the draft and they did. That’s a very young core to build around. Reminds me of the Celtics a few years ago.
