Don't ask Cian for advice.

Believe he had MM8 > Brady coming into 2019 ... After 12 just won 6.

He gets paid to do this ...

Here is the list of KC's free agents. Kelce and Mahomes are signed through 2022. And yes, Watkins isn't worth $14M of new cap money.

2020 NFL Free Agents Tracker

Mahomes is still on his rookie deal and is a free agent after next year. Not a first round pick so no option, drafted in 2017.

Mahomes wont stay on his rookie deal after this.

Brady didnt.

The effect of quarterback deals on a team is vastly overrated. Give a guy five years with a historical number and by year three he's a deal if he's still playing at the top of his game. Matt Stafford set the market in 2017 and he's only the 10th highest paid quarterback in the league now; Matt Ryan in 2018 and he's 5th (and that's prior to this year's free agency). The Chiefs know about Mahomes' need for a new contract, they're not going to be in dire straits.

Mahomes was the 10th overall pick. He has a 5th year option in 2021, so won't be a free agent until 2022. (And could be franchised after that if need be.)

It’s almost as if you didn’t read my post at all.

Actually not surprising that your reading comprehension is as bad as your math skills.

Whatever you say einstein.

I hope they extend him next month. If they don't move on.

Gronk circus last year was responsible in part to missing key FAs or at least the lack of proper long term solution to the TE position.

We don't have 80M to sit on. If they sign Brady they won't be able to sign other guys. If they don't they can @ Thuney e.g. and trade him later (i would keep him and sign a longer deal OL is key to develop a young QB).

If Brady comes back they should be very aggressive and backload a lot of deals.

If he leaves than they should reload IMO.

Trade a guy like Gilmore will hurt but they can fetch a young stud + a high pick and unload other contract like Cannon, like Miami did with Tunsil.

Let's say Gilmore + Cannon for a young stud on a rookie deal + 1st and 2nd.

They have Cajuste and there is no point to keep Gilmore if they won't be good for the last 2 years. He is 30 and has 2 more years under contract. Keep the young core and reload for another QB.

Oops! You’re right! So there is an option year.

Irrelevant

Mahomes is getting a new deal this year making him the highest paid QB in the league. What kind of a team plays hard ball with their franchise QB.

I know you're a huge idiot, but even you recognize that post wasn't directed at you, right?

I was correcting a mqron who implied that Mahomes could be tagged.

Mahomes will get a new deal after this season. Its protocol.

Anyone with a clue has that figured out.
